With all of the talent that we have coming back I have boldly stated to many of my friends that LSU will hoist the crystal ball next year in New Orleans, but there are a couple of games that have serious potential to derail our season.

This game scares me
Watching a game should never "scare" any fan. The only reason it is scaring you is because somewhere in your expectation-laden mind you already picture LSU holding the trophy. This causes you to view every game as LSU (and your ego) defending something that hasn't been earned yet. This ideology is what many coaches would refer to as "playing not to lose".
I prefer to watch the games and go for LSU but not to be afraid of watching them lose. I get into the game as much as any tiger fan, but as some point you have to grow up and accept all possibilities. LSU probably wont go to the MNC game next year. LSU has been there 3 years EVER. LSU is an awesome team and we've all been watching our whole lives. Let's just enjoy the ride without obsessing over the championship. What do you say?
Memory: Remember how excited you were when LSU beat No. 1 UF in tiger stadium 97' ? Everyone went crazy. You know why? because they didn't expect it :-)

Shouldn't it be said that LSU has only been there 2 years EVER? I thought when we won it in 58 the Champion was voted in after the bowl games

Western division games are the biggest on the schedule. The biggest of those is Bama. So the answer IMO is Bama.

way to go out on a limb. This has been said every year since 03.

Thursday night Miss St and Arkansas, those two games are always overlooked, especially Arkansas...

I seriously doubt any fans will be scared.

1. Bama on the road
2. Oregon in Dallas
3. Arkansas

Those plus West Virginia and Miss St. No way we go undefeated with our schedule next year. We prob lose 2-4 games
No way they lose more than 2 games next year. If they can go 10-2 with an anemic offense, then I'm certain they can match that at a minimum with the new offensive coordinator.
Inconsistancy on offense is probably a better word. Remember, when you boil it all down, there were only 5 games of the 13 last season that the defense needed the offense to be prolific. The offense responded in 3 of those 5 games. When put into that perspective you can see that consistancy is the key when you're already loaded with the talent that can be prolific. Mauck or Flynn probably go undefeated with last years team. Be consistantly productive, don't hurt yourself and you will win with the kind of defense that will likely show up for LSU.

When I take off my P&G glasses I realize this team is very young, and you don't replace the leaderhip of Nevis, Peterson, and Sheppard. I think LSU will be much better on the backend of the Season than the begining. I can see us with two early season losses and then reeling of 8 or 9 in a row to close.
This team is kinda young but has a great mix of players on the team who will be Upperclassman (3rd 4th or 5th year) and Lowerclassman guys (1st and 2nd year)
These are upper classman who will most likely see playing time.
QB- 2 Sr (this ones up in the air)
RB- 1 RS Soph
FB- SR
WR- 2 Jrs
TE- 2 SRs
OL- 2 SR. 2 Jr.
DL- 1 Sr. 1 Jr. 2 RS Soph
LB- 2 Sr. 1 RS Soph
CB- 1 Sr. 2 Jr.
S- 2 Sr. 1 RS Soph
Game that scares me the most is prob Bama. Mainly b/c they can fight back from a loss earlier in the season but a loss kinda late against Bama would be tougher to avenge.
The 4 days rest between Northwestern state and playing @ Miss. St. is kinda sketchy too.

Mississippi State on the road on a Thursday night after we play Oregon on the road in Dallas could be a trap game.
actually it looks like we get northwestern state in between the two games. which is fine by me. MSU the thursday after the opener would definitely have been a trap game

arkansas. damn it, i can see us beating bama and needing to beat arky to go to atlanta only to lose to those wild eyed, underrated, LSU haters.

Every damn year its "Mississippi State", and every damn year we beat the hell out of that bunch of 2 star dudes from Starkville. Moo State will never, ever be elite, so stop with this irrational fear! Bama has the same calibur of athletes LSU has, and that's the monster staring at us this Fall!

LSU's schedule next season is really over-rated. It's tough.. but it isn't a certain death trap like a lot of people want to call it.
The Oregon game worries me the most with the way Chavis schemes against those kinds of offenses. A first game loss would hurt for a long time.

Oregon is the biggest unknown - definitely them
there are landmines all through the season but Oregon started last year very strong and LSU hasn't always done that

Tennessee. Not really scared though, just think they'll have strong motivation to want to beat us.
