There have been some great games vs ND as well.
Sc ‘79 was better than ‘97 UF, ‘03 UGA,’07 & ‘19 UF, IMO. The ‘88 earthquake game vs AU was not that great of a game if you like offense. Just a defensive slugfest.

That ‘72 game vs Ole Miss was an all time great as well.

I don't see how this is even open to debate. 03-07 was something else.

I have been going to LSU games since 1972 and there have been some great games and moments in every decade. In my opinion even though the stadium only held 78,000 the greatest game in my time was the 79 USC game
It was a great game to the end and the noise level and intensity from the crowd went on all through the game. As USC offensive guard Brad Budde later said Tiger Stadium makes Notre Dame stadium look like romper room!

I’ve been through the beat down of my beloved Tigers by Miami in a driving rainstorm. The heartbreaking loss to USC in 79. The upset of #1 Florida in 97(it was deafening from the start to finish).
For the part of winning consistently and big games 03-12 yes was special. But I agree with the poster about social media and cell phones taking from the mystique. Just like anything else it’s hard to forget, really impossible to forget the first time on a Saturday Night in Tiger Stadium for a big matchup. Glorious euphoria!
And also the beat down of Florida St to get to the Orange bowl. Stoppage of play for oranges littering the field every time we scored(50 so lots of vitamin C) raining down. Let me go now I’m tearing up.

I think auburn 2001 . When we clinched are first sec west title,
In a game that was postponed due to 9/11 is vastly underrated.

It’s not my top, but it was an amazing g day / night!

Still to this day there is nothing like it. I've taken 30+ friends from here in Big 12 country. As we make the way through the gates and concourse of the stadium to section 214, I just sit back and watch. My favorite part is to see people who've never been to the stadium before walk out of the concourse and see that grand beast for the first time. A lot of time, it's just a simple "wow".

Before the soft, mentally weak leaders banned NECK.

Yes. My first game there in 1986 had me hooked. Freshman year and had always played football, basketball and baseball but had never been real fan of anything. After that A&M game, I was hooked.

That 2012 Bama game was a special environment. The worse I’ve ever felt after a loss.

03 UGA
07 Florida
2014 Ole Miss
07 Virginia Tech
2018 UGA
2010 Bama

There’s many more but those pop off my head

second, third and fourth UGA 2003. The stadium after UGA tied the score on the 90 yard screen pass was amazing. I knew right then we had turned it around.

Was there as a student at the time. That game was different. We belonged. The standard of excellence had been raised.

When Webster had that pick to seal the game, holy hell it was loud.

It's my favorite game of all time in TS.

I don’t care what anyone says 2022 Bama was as about loud as I’ve heard us get. Amazing night in TS. Absolutely deafening the whole game. All starting with the JBC pick in the end zone and culminating with Mason Taylor x2.

The two best games I ever attended at Tiger Stadium were against Washington in 1983 and against Ohio State in 1987.

The Washington game was at night and set the attendance record. Dalton Hilliard ran wild and LSU won 41-3.

The Ohio State game unfortunately was a day game and ended in a 13 - 13 tie. I remember seeing Rogie Magee come open on a slant. Hodson saw him too for a TD.

That Ohio State game was great, except late in the game when Hodson threw two costly picks-- one with about four minutes left when we were about to take a lead, and the other with less than a minute left which gave OSU a chance to win. Very disappointing end to a game I thought we should have won.

Same thing with the tie to Bama in '85. I still can't believe we didn't win that game. LSU dominated the Tide

Frankly, that entire game. You could argue the announcement of the USC score during that game was the top of the mountain, so to speak.

Absolute peak was 2007.

The Florida, Auburn, and Arkansas games were the most electric I've ever seen that stadium.

The Arky OT Neck was the best Neck we've ever done. Even though we lost, that game was a ton of fun.
