Well, I think teams like Marquette, Vandy, UK need to continue to win. Wake needs to upset a few people. If that happens, I fully think we can go 12-6 POSSIBLY 11-7 in the SEC and make it.

Having Ben Simmons is beyond big. People want to see him, and we are a gifted team. The committee will take into account that 4 of our 5 losses we were without key players.

13-5 in conference or no worse than 12-6. A nice upset win of #2 OU wouldn't hurt either.

12-6 SEC + OU win

or 13-5 SEC and another win against UK in Lexington.

Tonight's win was a huge step in the right direction. That said, to feel safe about it, I'd like to have at least 11 more wins. That's a 12-6 SEC record if we beat Oklahoma, 13-5 if we don't.

i say we just need to get to a total of 22 or 23 wins to get in.

But the real question is, how many wins does it take to get that #1 seed because We about to win out

If LSU beats Florida on Saturday, we're gonna run through the SEC.

Even if LSU is a bubble team, they will get into the tournament. People would be fools to think the selection committee isn't steered by the powers that be to help produce ratings during the tournament. A draw like Simmons, who will be the first overall pick will not be left out if it's even close. That's a guarantee.

Nice 2 wins(though Vandy kinda fricked us by losing to a bad Arky team tonight) but we have really put ourselves in position to not be able to lose any games we should win from here on out. If we were at least 11-3--which we should be,'at worst--instead of 9-5, I'd like our chances much better. But we pretty much have to come ready to play for every game the rest of the way--no more mulligans. 12-4 in the SEC form here on out width loss to Oklahoma and 1-1 in the SECT should get s on the bubble. And like others have said, we'd be playing much better with Victor and Hornsby. That coupled with the huge advantage of having Benny should give us the benefit of the doubt at 22-11 ish

A combination of 13 wins in conference and tourney is the magic number to guarantee a spot. If they win 11 to 12 it depends on who they beat and they would be squarely on the bubble.

I think 12-6 with a win over OU and we are definitely in.

May still get in 12-6 even without because of Ben Simmons, but may take another win in the tournament.

LSU isnt' a bubble team.
As others have said, if they are on the bubble, then they are in. There is no way the committee would leave LSU out with Simmons over someone like Valpo or Davidson

UCLA and Texas did not deserve to make the tourney last year, but they did, b/c they are UCLA and Texas.

That being said, they need to go at least 12-6 in conference with either an OU win or a deep tourney run. And it also helps that the teams they lost to are playing well and looking like tourney teams.

Maybe. But if we get to 10 losses or more it could be dicey. Those were terrible early losses. Need to make hay in the SEC games in the upcoming month.

The Simmons factor is big. I think if we get to 18-19 reg season wins, we're in. We wouldn't deserve it, but they WANT Simmons in, and if we're close enough, he trumps a mid-major's quality wins.

I hope it doesn't come down to that.
