Probably win out. Or possibly drop 1 at the most, and it would probably have to be in the SECT final.

Beat Tenn and then beat either Kentucky or Tenn in SECT.

and then payoff selection committee.

Probably impossible but win all the games they play and all the teams currently seeded higher lose a bunch.

Like a bunch bunch of bunch bunch of games

So you think a 30-4 (20-1) SEC champ would need help to get a 1 seed? If LSU wins out they're a 1

Hope that Duke, UK, VA, Michigan, Gonzaga and UNC lose a few games each before their conference tourney and we win out, including the SEC tourney. TN will have two losses to UK soon, so we would have to beat them.

Uh yes. What world are you living in? A two seed in that scenario. these pods and seeds are somewhat (alot actually) on draw and selling tickets. It's openly admitted by the NCAA.

So yes, other teams need to lose for LSU to get a one seed. Wake up.

Win out and win SECT would probably get it done. Can't see a realistic situation outside of that where LSU gets a #1.

It's pretty widely accepted that the SEC is getting a 1 seed... Right now it's been fluctuating between UK and Tennessee, what on earth do you think would magically change if LSU wins out for the committee to suddenly go "huh, you know what, that team winning that league DOESN'T deserve a 1 seed."

You people are paranoid with your "committee is going to screw us" mentality. If LSU wins out, they're a 1 seed

You are flat wrong. 30-4 (20-1) LSU is a 1 seed. Means you have 3 top 10 wins in the last month of the season.

Now LSU isn’t winning out so it’s dumb to even talk about.

LSU won't be a 1 seed in almost any scenario, but they are likely playing their way up to a 3 seed.

Think about that. Wade took over a program that has struggled badly at getting into the tournament for almost a decade and has them poised to be a 3 seed in his second season. That is outstanding.

Yep, I mean I guess they could, but I won't believe it until we're lifting the SEC Tournament Trophy in Nashville

Here's the list of competitors for those spots:
Duke, UVA, Gonzaga, Tenn
UNC, Michigan, UK, Mich St
Purdue, Marquette, Kansas, Houston
Tx Tech, LSU, Nevada, Iowa St

LSU needs to: Beat TN & beat UK/UT in SEC Tourney.
They need enough quality wins to jump the others.
Can suffer a loss, but that'll likely mean a 2-seed.

Would also need UVA & UNC to lose a couple (preferrably to someone other than UVA, UNC, or Duke). This opens up one of the four 1-seed spots.

Michigan and Michigan State need a couple losses. This removes a 2-seed from jumping into the vacated spot.

Tenn losing a few moves them out of the 1-seed line, which opens up a second 1-seed spot.

Let's see what's left.....
UVA, Tenn, UNC, Mich, UK, & Mich St play themselves out of 1-seed. This leaves Purdue, Marquette, Kansas, Houston, Tx Tech, Iowa St & LSU for one of those 2 opened up spots.
Houston isn't likely to lose again. Kansas isn't as good as usual, but they have the name recognition.

It'll be tough to get all the way up to a 1-seed with the small margin of victory wins on our record. We'll need to have an impressive showing in a game or two and hope the SoS will carry us over the 12 teams in front of us.
And... we'll need alot of help.

Honestly, being a 2-3 seed isn't terrible... especially if it's in a bracket that doesn't have Duke in it.

UT and UK play each other twice. LSU plays each once. That will be in play.

The point stands. Other teams in other conferences have to lose for LSU to move up to a One.

But wear those p&g glasses. Lots more games to play for LSU. shite. Barely fricking beat the worst team in the league and it's run the table time again

Dude I literally said they weren't running the table... I know they're not going to. Someone fricking asked a hypothetical about what it'd take for something to happen. That hypothetical won't happen, but if it magically did yes they'd be a 1 seed.

But hey I guess in your head they aren't even a lock for the tournament yet (spoiler: they are)

Dude I'm stating why other teams would have to lose for LSU to gain. Dude.

I'm sure they've locked up a NIT bid at minimum. Dude.

Yes, but it's a mathematical certainty that many of the current top teams WILL lose.

For LSU to win out they'd LIKELY have 3 wins over Tenn/UK... So your them playing twice, us playing once thing doesn't make sense.

We'll never get there, but I'd bet the house on LSU being a 1 regardless of other outcomes at 30-4
