Let’s have the OP go ahead and make a list of all coaches not named Nick Saban in the modern era who have put up those numbers. Closest at LSU was Les Miles and LSU fans ran him out of town and continue to ridicule him.

That was kinda the point of the discussion. We almost put up those numbers over the past 15 years, with trash coaches, and they were absolutely trash. They couldn't win anywhere else.

Now that we have a seemingly competent coach, I don't see why we couldn't put up those same numbers or even improve them.

Reading what the board said makes its seem that Kelly won't coach for 15 years and that makes sense. But in the time he is here, he should have much more success than the previous idiots.

you guys forget we play bama every year so chalk up several losses already. then we have to see how UF shakes out or will they continue to just be ehh.

We should be aiming at the playoffs or the next tier of bowls every year, but i dont see him winning multiple national titles with how many potential good teams could be on our schedule every year.

1) Consistent top 5 recruiting classes.
2) Revamped strength program resulting in fewer injuries.
3) Disciplined culture resulting in fewer “rules violations”
4) Continue to lead LSU towards being the most desirable SEC location to come start a career in football.

He does these 4 things- no way we don’t have a great run.

The Alabama game to become an absolute war. Multiple wins in a row at some point.

I expect consistency. Top ten recruiting classes regularly. Doesn’t have to be a top 5 class every year but as long as it’s still at or near the top ten, we’ll be fine. The floor is 8 wins. We all obviously know the ceiling. I don’t expect to beat Alabama every year but I certainly expect to compete with them every year.

It’s completely unacceptable to lose to multiple division rivals in one season. Can we lose a single game to Arkansas? Sure but we cannot lose to Arkansas, Ole Miss and Auburn all in one season. That doesn’t happen at LSU.

1. Beat your rivals
2. Provide stability
3. Don’t embarrass the brand. Do things with class.

He’s not going to come close to 15 years, and doubt he’ll get to 10. Not saying he won’t be successful, but that just doesn’t happen these days. Multiple NC’s is a huge ask also these days. My guess- 6 or 7 good years and one or two good runs toward an NC. Not ready to predict he gets one though. He’ll be ready to call it quits by the time he’s in his mid-late 60’s.

Really? I think 5 appearances would be amazing over a 10 year stretch, especially given the programs in the west. This ain't the Big 12, Big 10, Pac-12, or ACC.

Multiple 9-10 wins. 2-3 SEC title game appearances with 1 SEC title and possibly 1 NC

Realistically speaking by year 2 of his program, I expect a playoff appearance 2 out of every 3 years from that point on. I think we'll see an 8-team playoff so I guess I'm not going on a huge limb, but it should be fun. We finally have a grownup running the program who not only understands X's and O's, but also has a feel for the ebb n flow of all 4 quarters within a game. Been 16-17 years since LSU had that from the top guy.

Realistically, at least 1 National Championship, 3 conference titles. 5 playoff appearances. This is by 2031. Would just love to see the team super dialed in at all times. Discipline.

Next year is going to be rough, so everyone needs to prepare for that lol. Unless he hits the transfer portal really hard and overhauls the roster kinda like Johnson and Wade did this past offseason…it’s going to be a 7-8 win season I would think. Offense will be much improved if the line can perform but losing a lot on the Oline. Defense should be stout if we have some studs to step in at LB.

why? everyone says our coaching was horrendous...hiring BK fixes that immediately. We had plenty of talent on the field and other than the Kentucky game were in every game we played.

I expect next year to be pretty rough. Return to the 10 win club in 2023, then begin competing with Bama and UGA for conference championships in 2024.

If you can do that, the NC is within reach every year after.
