11 on the field. Some of those coming out and others going in for a limited time.

I see crisper tackling. I do see Utah getting their yards, but I also see LSU tightening a bit better in the red zone.

I see the game going 51-23 with Utah settling for several field goals.

.so I’ll say we give up 20 pts, 375 yards...which isn’t horrible given the injuries.

On the flip side..we will put up 55

i will take that right now! means i win both my bets!

Weak front 7 that gets pushed around.

DE's that bite on play fakes and can't hold the edge.

LB's and DB's (except #24) that can't tackle or cover.

Huge holes open up for their running game.

Their QB will increase his draft stock.

They put up 30+ points.

All that IF we are what we were through the first 4 games.

I HOPE we improved, but that is what I expect based on how it has gone so far.

I think they put it all together and show what they can do.

There was a reason we had high expectations for this defense, and i am not ready to give up on it yet.

I think we will make strides this week.

The reason we expected the D to be lights out was: a) Aranda, b) talent, and c) experience.

There are no excuses.

I expect better tackling and better coverage up top. I expect the front to force them into throwing the ball and apply pressure, whether it be by the front 4 or by extra rushers. I also expect physical football.

I can only promise the LSU offense will show up in dramatic fashion. Defense is still a wait and see.

Coming off a bye, I’m expecting this to be a game where we see the LSU defense we have expected

Slightly more sharp but similar to what we’ve been seeing bc I do not believe we get significantly better until we’re back full strength on the dline.

I hope to see more aggressive play calling from Aranda. I don’t care how good your front four is, if they’re constantly going against more blockers than they have rushing the quarterback, they will not get pressure consistently. And it puts a lot more pressure on our secondary to hold their man for a longer period of time.

I want to see more blitzing and I want to see more stunts. We have got to become more creative on defense.

I came across the 2016 Bama game on YouTube and watched the defensive highlights then watched highlights from the Vandy game. We looked like the 86 bears vs Bama compared to how we looked at Vandy.

My biggest takeaway was how soft and slow to the ball we looked against Vandy. I hope we can turn that around.

5 stops would work for me. Let Joe and the offense take it from there.

Hopefully stay healthy. The plus here is that we've been building depth by default which will be important going down the line. Better tackling from the secondary and the dline getting movement through gaps and playing contain on Love.
With pressure, get probably 3 picks would be nice.
The time is now for this defense to turn the corner because next week may be too late.
Big win for the Tigers, 55-14!!!
