I expect us to tackle better for one thing.

And would love to see the first stages of a coming dominance.

Gap control. Tackling and some semblance of a pass rush. If we can’t get a rush I expect the most expensive DC in the country to generate one. And turnovers. Love has 6 TDs and 5 INTs. Stop dropping so many picks

I think a lot of it will depend on if we try to establish a running game and Coach O was serious about slowing it down at times. Wouldn't shock me to see us run for 250 and control TOP. It honestly wouldn't be an awful gameplan against a team that wants to go fast

I expect a very good showing.

I went and watched 2 full game of Utah St. their running sets are almost identical to ours out of the shotgun so our defense shouldn’t be shocked. They also never sub their running back. #1 was in like 95% of the entire game against CSU.

CSU last week was able to generate pressure in some plays with just rushing 3.

Love doesn’t make the best decisions when pressured.

Love will try and throw bombs. Our Dbs need to just run lock down man the entire game. Jam the shite out of them force them to walk down the foeld if they can.

I think they put it all together and show what they can do.

There was a reason we had high expectations for this defense, and i am not ready to give up on it yet.

I have a feeling that the D is tired of being criticized and have a gem of a game.

I think they force 3 or 4 turnovers and hold Utah St to less than 20 points.

The running back actually was never subbed because our best RB (Jaylen Warren) was injured at the first of the game and we really only go about two deep at the position.

It'll be really interesting if Jaylen Warren doesn't play. Will USU just use one RB the whole game against LSU and have him get totally beat up heading into conference play? Or will we see the emergence of the backups who haven't really played and likely wouldn't be effective at all?

We haven't been beating up anybody at any position on D. Not the dilemma that you think it is.

Honestly I expect more of the same but we make enough plays to keep it out of reach.

The main things that have been killing us is Dline depth and bad tackling. I think you can improve your tackling, but if guys aren’t healthy, your dline depth is what it is.

I think they will rectify the tackling issue with 2 weeks off...not sure about dline depth.

Utah st has a very good offense...so I’ll say we give up 20 pts, 375 yards...which isn’t horrible given the injuries.

On the flip side..we will put up 55

As every in every game, I expect an LSU defense to dominate the line of scrimmage, to cause turnovers, and to keep them under 10 points.

We'll see what happens.
