The defense just needs to trust their assignments. Overpursuit has killed this team over the last two seasons.

The Miami front 7 are worlds better than LSU. Those 2 DE's they have are dominant.

The Baker apologists are ridiculous. Everyone’s fault but his
do y'all not remember the game? We were winning at half with the only thing keeping us in the game was defense. When you have an inept offense, the defense can only keep you in it for so long.

Not a better secondary but definitely a better DL especially at DE.

Hopefully Blake is taking notes. Miami went to Kyle Field and completely shut down the ATM offense with its running QB.

What did Miami do that we need to incorporate into our gameplans?

Reed was sacked 7 times in this game. Take his sacks out and sack yardage lost (30), and Reed ran 8 times for 57 yards, that's 7.125 per carry.

Against LSU he was sacked 0 times. Ran it 13 times for 108 yards, that's 8.3 per carry. Almost half of that on one play of 41 yards.

The disparity is not as bad as it may look when you look at the box score. Baker's defenses have often struggled with running QBs like Reed, but so have most teams. The key is not giving up long runs at critical junctures. I do think we need a deeper linebacker room with better linebackers as depth pieces.

Miami’s front 7 is much better than LSU’s this season. Having two dominant ends makes a huge difference

Yeah I think it has to do with personnel and what defense you run

LSU is in need of a sideline to sideline guy they can standup on the end

Would be nice to have a 30 mile an hour wind while on defense. Note 1

Baker needs to dial down the blitzing against running qbs, and our defense needs to maintain their assignments

Yep go back and watch. We drop 7-8 we likely beat A&M and Vanderbilt
