I hope to see more variety with the running plays. It seems like we were 90% inside zone last year.

Short yardage out of shotgun is hard to watch.

Half of this board doesn’t know what an actual RPO is…so I’m not sure I’d take their opinions seriously when it comes to grading a college OC

Depends on game 1.

If we win that then my expectations will rise .

If we lose that game then it's the same ole shite just a different year.

Sloane is the weak link on this team.

The overall run scheme appears extremely weak to this novice, arm chair fan/coach.

I expect to see 63 points a game, 26 first downs. and the punter smoking cigarettes while never leaving the bench every game. Then I expect Kelly to fire his arse for not scoring 70.

If you watch other teams, pretty much everyone else runs on 2nd and long just as much as we do.

Last year he was too predictable. 2nd and long was always a RB draw. We need to self scout a little better to avoid tendencies

This is an easy one for me. If Sloan doesn't implement a Wildcat QB package like the vast majority of football teams has done for a change of pace and obvious situations, he isn't much of an OC. LSU has the perfect player to be that QB for several plays a game...Johnson. LSU is years and years behind in not having that extra aspect to their offense.

This is a complete falsehood.

The vast majority of teams are definitely not running a Wildcat package.

Try watching football instead of curling.

People say this but it's a false narrative.

Just looking at the USC game, calls over 2nd and 5.

2nd & 8 - Pass
2nd & 7 - Pass
2 & GOAL at USC 9 - Pass
2nd & 6 - Pass
2nd & 8 - WR run
2nd & 8 - Run
2nd & 7 - Pass
2nd & 10 - Pass
2nd & 7 - Pass
2nd & 6 - Pass
2nd & 10 - Pass
2nd & 7 - Run
2nd & 10 - Run
2nd & 7 - Run
2nd & 6 - Pass
2nd & 15 - Pass
2nd & 7 - Run
2nd & 10 - Pass
2nd & 8 - Pass

LSU had 2nd and long 19 times and the HB only ran the ball 5 times.

26.3%

Name some of these teams that supposedly ran Wildcat vs us last year.

Should be easy since it's the "vast majority".

I didn't say it was only restricted to LSU opponents. An AI response to the question of teams running wildcat formations. "Many college football teams utilize the wildcat formation" But hey, dick...that's your first name right....be a complete a-hole and keep debating it. Geez, what a loser you must be!

Name any of them.

Although, if it were really the vast majority, we should've played several of them statistically.

Guess you don't know how to use search engines, huh? A very brief AI response mentions Florida, Arkansas, and OU as examples. Not a complete list, dick head! I know Auburn and A&M have used it in the past for other examples.

I don't believe either Arkansas or Florida ran Wildcat packages last year, at least not that I remember.

The only ones I can remember off the top of my head were Oklahoma, Penn State, Ole Miss, and Nicholls State. There were probably more but it's nowhere close to the "vast majority".

Oklahoma ran a Wildcat package with Bauer Sharp who is now at LSU. He threw a pick to Sage Ryan out of it last year.
