30 - 13 Tigahs.
Last year's game wasn't nearly as close as the score. I think our defense is so much better that it will actually help our offense.
Was at the 2019 game. While Vandy will have a better home field advantage this time, it won't be enough as the offense finally gets out of its own way.

I’m not big on LSU this season but I believe the defense handles the Vanderbilt quarterback like a few years back the defense handled Manziel. Yes I know two different quarterbacks and two different defenses but I see same results.

If Vandy scores over 20, we lose. I think that is the max our offense can manage. Unless of course, we get some Defensive TDs.

Flynn and Hester say missed reads are fixable. I am not optimistic about a quarterback who after 5 years of college coaching and watching film is still missing simple reads.

I expect this game to be much like last week with USC and Sellers. I expect Baker to key on Pavia in multiple different ways and force the rest of the Vandy offense to beat us. They are better coached than USC, but they don’t have difference makers across the field and unless they can continually fool us, which even Kiffen didn’t do, they won’t score close to their average.
Our defense will limit big plays and force them to be perfect driving the ball for scores. Outside of turnovers swinging the balance or big special teams plays, I don’t think Vandy’s offense is beating this defense. I’ll just say it- they aren’t on the same planet as Ole Miss. they aren’t beating this defense straight up. They will have to have help.
If the offense shows up with the same mindset they had at Clemson- take what the defense gives, keep them off-balance a little, and just execute, then we should end up with a 10-17 point victory where we add a little distance at the end.

Dominating win.
Offense builds on last week, getting Parker and Green more involved. Anderson back so you have more weapons. Watkins takes over the Hilton role and reels in a long one.
Defense clamps down and 40 and 7 shut that douchebag Pavia up.

31-13 Tigers. Nega Tigers proclaim “But It’s Vandy”.

What are your predictions for Vandy Game?
Barion Brown catches a 40-50 yd touchdown pass.

I think this team grinds out a win then beats A&M next week.
Careful, Ging, people will think you have come over to the Sunshine Pumper side.
Hoping you are right, I think the team has the talent to do that.

I can see VB coming in at QB if the wheels seriously begin to wobble. Like another poster said, Kelly know he CANNOT afford to lose this game for any reason just short of the entire team coming down with flu on Friday

20 to 14 LSU. We just have a 20 point scoring limit. If Vandy scores 21 points we got a problem.

What do you prefer, opening the game with 3 FGs or opening with 3 straight 3 and outs? They're not the same.

34-21 Vandy
This is not the normal Vandy of past years. I hope we can find a way to win, but Vandy has several things going for them:
1 - Vandy has a decent defense and we can't run the ball and Nuss also is coming off a game where he had a slight sprain (at least, that's what we're being told)
2 - Vandy has a running QB and one that can pass halfway decent and we struggle against those types of guys
3 - An 11 a.m. start is not good for either team, but being in the visiting team means they're sleeping in strange beds, strange surroundings and and the players will probably have to get up around 6 for breakfast and pre-game prep.
4 - We may enter the game with a lot more talent, but LSU has a habit of playing down to the level of its competition and that could be trouble against a solid SEC team.

I picked Vandy straight up. 11:00 AM on the road against a mobile QB.

31-17 Vandy. They are the better team in so many areas. Will be surprised if it’s close. GOODEN out doesn’t help
