Not even getting drafted?
Think of all the players in that draft class that have long been out of the league.
He probably had a less than 10% chance to have this long of a career.

He has made a little over $50 million in 13 years. No one could have seen him last as long as he has in the league. Good for him.

Go look at his career earnings too. Dude really didn't make much earlier in his career but now he's made 50 million.

Good for him. Hopefully he’s not putting any in his brothers pyramid scheme.

With a 13 year NBA pension he could blow it all and still be set for life.

It's not because of talent. He is very well liked by his coaches, and he has an extensive, deep knowledge of the game. He's basically like an extra coach on the bench.

When he was about 14 years old his dad used to make him run around the rec center doing jumping drills with ankle weights while we all played pick up games. I felt sorry for him. I don’t feel sorry for him anymore.

Yea, he probably had less than a 10 percent chance of even making a roster his rookie year.

He’s got to be among the longest tenured undrafted players in NBA history

Yes sir. The NBA pension pays $800 per month for every year you played in the NBA.

So…. After this season, GT3 will have played 14 seasons, therefore his pension beginning when he turns 50 is $11,200 a month ($800 x 14) for the rest of his life.

NBA career minutes played in regular season by LSU players:

Shaq 41,918
Pettit 30,690
Pistol 24,316
Brandon Bass 16,410
Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf 15,628
Garrett Temple 15,014

He's averaging only 4.3 minutes per game this season but has averaged 20.5 minutes per game for his career (732 games).

Assuming he's not still playing at 50...

Even with 13 years in the league, it’s not until age 62 that the crazy pension money kicks in. For that much time, it would be about $240,000 a year.
