Do they stay in Baton Rouge up until the night before the game so they can keep a very normal routine? Or do they have to stay in New Orleans and practice at whatever facilities they have designated for the two team? It has to be a huge advantage to potentially stay in your own apartment and use your own facilities like you would for any other game if that’s an option. Curious about the details. I had no idea for the playoff they were in Atlanta all week so I’d assume typically that’s the procedure for the NCG as well.

They’re going to stay the night before in the Congress Inn on Chef Highway (like the Beatles did).

They have to go down, be available for media days, etc. But they can do whatever they want around those commitments

I would just drive down for those then and drive back.

If history repeats it’s the Marriott on Canal or the Hilton Riverside. They’ll be there several days. I know in 2003 it was the Marriott. Ok stayed at the Hilton.

They will absolutely keep them close in NOLA.

At a minimum, the guys doing interviews and access at media days and the like will be in NOLA at hotel for 3 days, maybe more.

You don't want players:
- driving up and down I-10, especially since they will likely car pool and have multiple players in a vehicle. What if wreck?

- potentially coming into contact out and about or on road with fans, especially Taters.

- there will still be team meetings, film review, walk throughs, scouting reviews, etc. In fact, more than normal right up the last day. Those final ones you want everybody on time and engaged. Not late due to traffic or unfocused because of outside hassles/influences.

- probably most important: you want the team together. All of them, not just starters. Backups have an important role as being prepared also going through the same regimen as the starters, but also serve as the 'devil's advocate' often. Not to mention just being together, with a minimal of outsiders helps with focus.
