He picked up numerous blitzes that gave Brennen time to throw...

I see a bit of Tony Dorsett in him with his body lean and his cutting and acceleration.

He was quicker than I thought. He caught several passes out of the backfield and made ten yards before linebackers or safety's could track him down. We need a threat out of the backfield to take some pressure off the oline and we've clearly found it. He had really good vision on Saturday too. He found the small holes for 6 and 7 yard gains. The best thing we can do for our offense is establish the running game. We did that.....

I was most impressed by his patience and vision. Also he was running like a madman

Blocking. Go back and watch the 2nd Marshall TD and the flea flicker play. Caught the rusher left tackle missed on Marshall play and caught the corner blitz on the flea flicker play.

I saw all these traits in Josh Williams Saturday. And where did he come from. Let's set the brakes on all this smoozing about 1 back. Let's change the subject and talk about moving Tory Carter to LB. He's salivating now and blood is coming out.

I agree, the broken tackles impressed me. His other abilities were evident, he can be really good.

This reminds me of when Fournette started to settle in his freshman year and take over as the lead guy. He absolutely deserves the majority of the touches.

He is the most complete back we have and it was on display Saturday. He obviously ran well. No one doubted that. He caught the ball well out of the backfield, which is a big deal in this offense and was missing vs State. He also did well in pass protection, making a couple of nice blocks. Supposedly that was a weakness last year.

He looks ready to take the next step and become a star.

Definitely looks like the game has slowed down for him. Much like fournette and other young highly touted backs they rely all on their talents, which works in hs but doesn't always fly at the next level. Its so much more than just out running or over powering the other guy. It's the patience and the vision to not only follow blocks but the little subtle moves that help set up blocks or delay the defender just enough to get that extra foot that can be the difference of turning and burning or getting caught in the backfield. What's even more exciting is he should only get better with more reps

When he took a shot to his balls and stayed in the game. Respect!!

I hope I never have to earn respect this way.

Agree that Kamara is a good comparison. I thought Guice ran angry and don't see that with Emery so far.

Speaking of Kamara, it was mid way in his junior year before he started to show the form we are seeing today.
