You are right, that wouldn’t make sense. Contrary to popular narrative I’m not looking at the strength of opponents to discredit O or say he’s doing a bad job. When discussing his qualifications supporters point to his interim record at USC and LSU to show he’s learned from his time at Ole Miss. But if you look deeper he beat mostly bad teams. He has what I’d consider 2 quality wins at USC and LSU. Stanford at SC and Auburn this year. So if the point of firing Miles was to get back to elite status it’s a legitimate question to ask if Ed O is the guy to get us there and looking at his record is a fair way to assess that. To get there he’s going to have to beat some good teams and so far he really hasn’t

Nicely stated and I will go on to say that I hope he does go on to numerous huge wins on the way to Tiger championships. I am not convinced that he is the guy to do it, but why wouldn't we all want a Louisiana boy to do well.

You’re right PJ Louisville is a quality win, I forget about them because they were playing so bad at the end of last year

This is why I hate these idiots praising O. I know you can only play the games on your schedule, but our schedule/is weak as frick. We had historic losses to Ms. St. and Troy and O supporters are trying to spin this as a successful season.

Yea, props on saving the season but we should have never got our asses beat by 2 lesser opponents. We have won against a majority of shite teams.

I can't wait to hear the excuses next year from O supporters. This year, it's all Danny's fault. Next year, I bet it'll be a young QB and RB. When, in actuality, it's a horrible head coach.

You won’t hear any excuses from me about the performance in those two games, but if you can’t recognize the team has improved week to week, I don’t know what to tell you.

Oh Good Lord, take a look around at the other SEC teams, this has been a bit of a down year all over SEC and some teams haven't done so well. Look around college football in general and see how many teams are winning against powerhouses every week. It may upset you, but LSU has won at least 8 games in a season for more consecutive years than ANY other team. Don't tell me its because of schedule or whatever, if that was the case, they wouldn't hold that record, other teams would.

The SEC has been down due to Saban, that’s why SEC schools have had a difficult time hiring quality head coaches. LSU is no exception.

I gave props for saving the season.

I have a huge concern on O actually being able to keep recruits in state.

If you had the likes of playing for Urban Meyer, Saban, Kirby Smart, etc etc, hell, even Harbaugh or Malzahn compared to Ed Orgeron, who would you choose? Let's be real here, next year will be a much tougher test and he's already not having a great recruiting class.

A down year in the SEC, yet we have the number 1, 6 and 7 teams in last week's CFP rankings and that's just the top 10.

And we fired a coach for losing 3-4 games a year. I know the offense had a lot to do with it, but ultimately it's wins and losses. If we were running a triple option, yet undefeated, no one would give a frick. So, why are we giving O a pass on these losses? We've moved the post for an idiot.

Lol. Bama, loss, Miss St, loss, Troy, loss. All those teams have a winning record. The win against Auburn was the one time we beat anybody that wasn't a complete shite show.

Arky, Tennessee, Ole Miss, BYU, UF. Do you know how long ago each team has had a season this bad? Everybody is patting O on the back for racking up wins against shite team after shite team, while all our losses have come against the only decent teams we've played, excluding the Auburn win.

Next year the schedule flips not in our favor. It's looking like an 8-4 season.

All we can do is play the teams on our schedule. How is it LSU's "fault" that all but one has a losing record?

Lol. Again, we have played 11 teams, 4 of those 11 teams have winning records. We beat only one of those teams. We beat shitty team after shitty team, but we look like complete arse when we face any team with a pulse. That is the problem. That has been the problem all year.

That is simply not true. There was only 2 teams with losing records OVERALL AND 5 of the 12 teams ranked in the top 15 (1,2,12,13,15) at the end of the year!!! If you look at the SEC record, you people are just dumb. I didn’t do that because I knew this dumb stuff would be brought up. BY SIMPLE MATH SOMEONE WILL ALWAYS HAVE ABOUT A .500 or worse record because they play 8 games against each other and if they are evenly matched, this will be the case. Ole Miss was the only really bad team in the conference.

9 teams went to Bowl Games - 9 of the 12 teams went to bowl games going 7-2 including winning the Sugar and Outback bowls beside the NC. WTH are y’all spewing about 2007?

A 6-6 SCe team didn’t make a Bowl FWIW. There was 1 team at 7-5 in Bama.

Here’s a fact: In 2007 The SEC went 36-10 versus Non-Conference opponents.

This is hilarious when people bring this up without looking at ALL THE DATA.

If your using opponents records to indicate poor coaching on the team that beat them, well it doesn't make sense.

That’s why I didn’t use the record alone. All I proved was we haven’t beat anyone worth a crap in the last 21 games except AU crapping themselves. Even UL in the Bowl game had lost 3 straight before we played them including losing to UH and KY.

We lost to teams that can stop the run - including Troy. In years past we would have outmuscled Troy.

We are still one demensional. There was no reason to hire a coach worse than the one you fired. I refuse to support this AD and his boss because of it.

Go back and watch our previous games against troy. Outmuscled will not come to mind. Statements like this is why you get so much pushback.
