There's a lot of advantages for us that I don't think many people realize....

1) We're at home, which is the best news
2) coming off a bye, love extra time to prepare
3)Ole Miss has a plucky/confident kentucky team this week that will throw everything at them
4)next week they go @ South Carolina and face one of the toughest DLs in the conference

Then of course they're on the road again coming here, playing in Death Valley, at night. I like the way it's setting up!

The fact that the LSU gets a BYE the week prior & that the game is the 2nd of back to back road SEC games is a HUGE advantage for LSU.

The records for teams in B2B SEC Road games isn’t very good from what I’ve heard on Sports Talk recently. Hope so cause we’re gonna need it.

I don't see them losing to UK or USC but I think both teams have good enough defense to make it tough sledding games for Ole Miss and hopefully beat them up a little bit

Ole Miss is definitely the better team this year but with the way the game sets up I agree it would not be all that surprising to see the tigers pull the upset here. Reminds me a lot of 2022 Ole Miss game where they went to Auburn in a slug fest the week before us.

The play two physical teams back to back prior to our game. SC game will be a shoot out, similar to ours. They will have to play four quarters. Lots of energy will be expended in that game.

The fact that LSU needs any of these “advantages“ in order to beat Ole Miss is a sad sign of the times.

For you young ones, if LSU plays Ole Miss 25 times, we should win 24 of them, with six being somewhat competitive and the rest being runaway blowouts.

Not really. Kiffin is in “win now” mode because he knows he’s taking another job after this season. They spent millions on transfers and got most of their team to return when they would have been drafted. They will be awful next year.

The outcome of those games is irrelevant. Ole Miss getting tired, beat up and bruised is the goal

Me neither but you're talking about two coaches going into those games with really nothing to lose, I could see either one (maybe both!) being an absolute war.

Really I just highlight them from the standpoint that it's tough to go to LSU after really tough games. They're going to be fighting fatgue a lot more than we are.

The all time series of the game is 63-42-4. LSU wins like 60% of the time since forever. WTF are you talking about???

I think this statement means you are the “young one”

The series record is 63-42-4.

Taking out ties that makes our winning % vs them 0.600.

IF we win then that sets our winning % over the last 10 at .700 and Kelly’s at .67. Both above historical averages

Your idea that historically it is greater than .950 and that less than that is failure is simply not reflective of reality.

They likely bench their starters early and the fatigue issue is less likely.

Did you really need that pointed out to you???

The series is 65-42-4 in LSU's favor. You're sporting the P&G glasses today, I like it.

I think Ole Miss will be undefeated coming to Death Valley and primed for a loss
