Typicql LSU fan base. As Nick said when he got here. This is a catastrophe fan base.
No matter what happens its always a catastrophe, perfect example of a victim mentality with this fanbase.

You just figuring this out.
You didn’t notice when they crapes in our night football tradition?
You didn’t notice when they raised ticket prices because they needed more money right before they announced a huge SEC network contract?
You didn’t notice when they added extra games and lined up cupcakes?
You didn’t notice when they started playing the best ooc games at a neutral site?
If the money is right, they will do anything.

Where were you when they let Mizzou in the conference???
Competitively that was a huge downgrade for the SEC.
Adding OU and Texas is a huge UPGRADE competitively.
But both decision were made for the same reason- money.
If you don’t like it, go be a fan of a conference that loses money, like the Sun Belt or Conference USA

You are COMPLETELY wrong. LSU fans are NOT worried about our ability to remain one of the top tier programs. We’re worried about the crap fest that college football has, and will continue to become. Use your critical thinking skills. It’s not hard to see where this NIL stuff is going. There will be NO school loyalty among athletes anymore, as they will be whoring themselves to the highest bidder EACH and EVERY year. Following-year negotiations will begin mid-way through the season and competition will degrade. This opens up the fans to be played and fleeced even more than we are now. Why can no one else see this? We are getting set the frick up, man!
It’s not about being a ‘Catastrophe’ fan base. It’s about being able to see the reality of the situation.

Nothing stays the same. Sewanee, GaT & Tulane left the SEC a long time ago. An old adage, “ Lead, follow, or get the hell, out of the way”. The SEC has taken a leadership role in college athletics. Glad they are not playing catch-up.
The legalization of player payments is definitely a game changer. The NCAA has called a special convention to rewrite, not amend, their constitution.
Afraid all will have to find a way to embrace the growth and change or find something else to do on Saturdays.

If you downloaded directions to this seminar you’re in the right place. Please be quiet your mother is on a long distance phone call. If you have a “ Laugh, Love, Live” sign in your home you’re in the right place.

Collegiate Football is dead. Semi-pro players competing in feeder programs for the NFL is the new paradigm. LSU is screwed.
It is what it is.
It is what it is.

Agree with you completely. Will hardly resemble the great years this sport has enjoyed. This 60 year old has been withdrawing for a few years now this will expedite that path.

What’s really sad is that how will lower tier schools compete or even be relevant? Maybe they land a walk-in or a stud Diamond in the ruff that big teams pass on or sponsors pass on
Seriously?!?! How’s that ANY different than years past? Same…same. Lower tier schools only prayer is to land a time in a rough…now & then.

...because major college football conferences work billion dollar deals with the largest tv broadcasters in the world "for the fans". Grow up, football is and has been a business for 90+ years.
