Les Miles will have Kansas in a bowl game in 2 years.

Why do I suspect you don’t really hope he’s changed, but would rather read up on and criticize what he’s doing in Kansas?

Les is a good coach and won a lot of games for us including the Natty. Let’s see how his team does on the field in a few years.

He wont be facing bama, auburn, and florida defenses every year in the big 12. If he can give those guys 8 and 4 results they will be super happy. Imo it is a question of whether he can get top 20 type recruiting classes. If he can, this might work.

The primary objective, mixed in with the quality want of these fine young men, is, when in the course of football events, these men have the chest necessary to compete.
We had a strong scrimmage, not quite up to the offensitudinally goals we had set, but of a quality nature. Our special teams are progressing at a pace we find to be exceptionally acceptable, with many more positive aspects yet to go.
We will be of a competitive nature in our mutually quality endeavors on the field, while developing these horrendously fine young men into young men of exceptional character and magnanimous ability, both on and off the field.

8-4 will make everyone happy at Kansas. He’s not expected to compete for championships, just make them relevant. Therefore, he’s going to do what he knows the best, old school, smash football. I suspect after year one, he will have at least 7 wins every year.

Skill positions, probably not. In the trenches and LB's, there is a lot of talent in the immediate area. Big, cornfed road graders.

1. The team has been historically bad, why not try an unconventional approach in that conference? They may be able to keep those offenses off the field.
2. His methods always generated wins. If KU wins 6 games, Les is a miracle worker.
3. I guess LSU fans know what’s best for Kansas.

I bet the stats were rounded to the nearest hundred for everything and Les was sitting back grinning about that like he put one over on everyone like he used to do here.

I think les can come into louisiana and take LSU’s scraps for his skill guys and be just fine. He will have a lot of relationships around the state.

Les used to beat down and frustrat those spread teams. If he can get a little talent at KU then he will be a thorn in the side for many teams n b12

I'm not pulling for him. I hope he fails miserably just like he did when he pulled my beloved Tigers down by being a hard headed stubborn prick. F him.
He won't have a 2nd contract and you can take that shite to the bank.

That style of play may actually make things a little interesting. He’d be going against the grain against most teams in the Big 12.
Doesn't work. TCU tried that the first two years in the Big 12 and went 7-6 and then 4-8. They then went spread the next year and went 12-1 and then 11-2.

Watch Les win 7 games next year
Kansas and Les is going to be a beautiful marriage to watch play out. The guy will inspire and motive them to win some games they shouldnt have. He will get them to some bowls and KU will fill their stadium. They wont beat the Okies and UT’s but give him a year or 2 and he will make some games interesting. Just watch.

He had talent at LSU to make up for his Offensive stubbornness. What are the remote chances of quality talent at KU?
