Paul did say that Todd Peterson ~ could ~ start on Saturday, depending how the first two days go, but he’s “too valuable” to be removed from the bullpen at this point.
He’s available for tomorrow in relief, for instance

Eric Walker would be able to come back and start on Wednesday in the SEC Tournament if #LSU advances past Tuesday.
Also some injury news:
- Jaden Hill will throw a simulated game on Friday.
- Cole Henry will throw a simulated game on Saturday.
How those go will determine if/when they can pitch in the SEC Tournament

Cade Beloso is healthy and available to play the field, Paul says, but he’s liked the way the infield has looked with Chris Reid at first base. Might stay with that this weekend
Trent Vietneier is getting an MRI on his shoulder today and will not pitch this weekend, Mainieri said

Trent Vietmeier's MRI is today, so #LSU is still awaiting those results, but he's unlikely to be available this weekend.

I’m kind of confused by what a simulated game is now. I always thought it was basically a bullpen session with live batters but if the team plays this weekend how is he going to face live hitting?
Will that be part of the warmups leading up to the game Saturday? That doesn’t seem correct so I must have no actual idea of what a simulated game means

A simulated game just means a couple hitters take live ABs

I read on Twitter they threw as if they were facing batters then sat down as if LSU were at the plate then got back up & threw more, sat... for however long coaches decide

Ha! A Clemson fan would sure know something about doomed this year. Your team even going to make a regional? Their SOS and RPI are probably near triple digits with that weak-arse ACC schedule.
