Auburn

Everyone, nobody can debate this guy. He "knows" that it will happen; therefore, it will. He offers no proof, no evidence, nothing. He just knows it. Step away from the ranter.

Every school on that list except maybe Auburn consistently out-recruits Trent Johnson. Every school in the SEC has a better SEC record over the last 20 seasons than LSU. Trent Johnson has no new players committed who can come anywhere close to replacing Storm Warren, without whom we probably would have gone about 4-12 in the SEC and at or below .500 overall. No LSU player has ever improved under the tutelage of Trent Johnson.

So, in short...we suck now, we're losing an important post player whom we can't replace, and none of our other players are getting any better. That's why we won't win 22 or 25 games in the regular season and why we will continue to see the same shite year after year with this bum we're paying way too much to "coach" what passes for a "basketball team" at LSU.

Instead of spouting off generalities, prove it. Prove that Ole Miss' incoming class is superior and is going to allow them, considering what they lose, to be better than us. I'm not saying you can't be right, but I would like your statements to have some factual support.

At LSU, he doesn't have to. We haven't had five SEC caliber starters at the same time since 2009, and won't any time soon the way TJ recruits.

Name one team in that group, other than Auburn, that didn't have better talent than LSU this year. If they had better talent, that means they have consistently recruited better than we have the last few years.

My biggest problem in evaluating LSU sports is that I am just too much of an optimistic pollyanna sunshine pumper. With five games left in the basketball season, I stupidly bought the hype and thought we would go 3-2 over the last five games. Once again, my purple and gold glasses blinded me to the cold reality. I try not to let it happen, but I just can't help it sometimes.

Probably. But losing Green is going to really hurt them.

So how do you explain our record against them this year? MSU had better talent than us, and we split the series.

Again, I would just like you to actually try to prove your generalities instead of just saying them as if they're proven gospel that can't be dispelled.

Yea out of the Schools Pelle is looking @ Trent is the only coach with a history getting Biggs to the NBA.

He's looking at SDSU right? Fisher's got Webber, Howard, Tractor Taylor, Kawhi Leonard to the pros. Frankly they've got a better program and Fisher's proven he's not afraid to get his hands dirty in recruiting.

The SEC will only be more difficult with the additions of Texas A&M and Missouri. I think we'll win 20 regular season games (we definitely won't be ranked in the top 25). We'll be a bubble team. It will all boil down to how we do in the SEC tournament.

That being said, this year was a waste.

Unfortunately, this will be the downfall of TJ. Gathers had his hand out.

Bama? Freshmen laden? Wtf are you talking about? Without Green, a senior, they finish below us in the standings.

They start 1 senior, one freshman, a sophomore and 2 juniors. Their guards make ours look like an NBA guard tandem.

They currently have no recruits committed.

UK will be better than us.
Vandy loses their entire starting 5.
UF could lose a lot or they could be the favorite in the SEC next year. Depends on who goes pro.
USC sucks and will continue to suck.
UT will be good next year.
Missouri should be good, but they lose a lot.
AM sucked this year.
Ole Miss should be pretty good.

In this day and age in college basketball, this might be all he needs.

All of a sudden, UK allows us to hang around in a game they had no motivation to play and everyone thinks we will be awesome next year.

Why didn't they have motivation to play? Were you privy to their locker room or something or just your awesome ability to perceive motivation on the court?

Trevor Lacy and Levi Randolph (both freshmen) are probably more talented than anyone on LSU's team.

Of the "west" teams, Bama will be favored preseason with the others all being pretty equal.

So why does Hickey have better numbers than Lacy? What about Hamilton? You do realize his numbers are far better than the players you're bringing up right?

ETA: run back to the SECr
