Landry has single-handedly set LSU back 10 years. He's done nothing to improve the state of Louisiana zero.

Whether you like Landry or not is irrelevant. I have no issue with Landry's 'opinion' but what turned him into a buffoon, is to make his remarks public! He is not Huey Long, who loved LSU, Landry is a UL Grad, so LSU is just a power/money issue for him. Landry has no true concern about how his remarks will hurt LSU going forward, especially with regard to how the University will be perceived by recruits, coaches, the media, etc.

If Landry wants to overtly keep LSU from doing something that exists across every other recent contract among LSU peers, I guess it could happen.
