They do wear them occasionally. Plenty often enough for me.

I have a problem with the idea that this look is only for nonconference cupcake home games.
You can’t tell me that this doesn’t send a signal to the players that this isn’t really a challenging opponent.
Every contest needs to be approached with the mindset that it’s Alabama. Wearing purple jerseys for weaker opponents at home just isn’t a good send to the players.

I'm not in favor of us wearing it at home, at all. I grew up watching LSU football back in the 1960s and if we wore purple at all, it was always on the road. And that's the way it should be-- I know that in more recent times opponents, namely Florida and South Carolina under Spurrier, Miss St a few times, and Kentucky have put us in purples for road games. And THAT, baws, is tradition!
If there were some way we could wear them for all road games, that would be cool. But, they're traditionally NOT our home uni (other than that 12-year-long NCAA mandate), and that, my friends, is the natural order of things.

Curly ruined purple and gold, but it’s a new era and the gold/purple/gold is f’n nice. People think the white uniforms are good luck for whatever reason, but we wore them on 1/9/12. In baseball, the gold jerseys on Sundays are supposed to be good luck. We see how that’s gone lately.
I like being different in wearing the traditional uni’s at home. The gold/purple/gold should be the default for ooc home games. The white/purple/white is nice too, but I prefer the purple and gold.

This is the stupidest concept ever. Uniforms are one of the only things that stays fairly constant in identifying your team over the course of time. If you don’t care about uniforms, you’re an idiot. Doesn't mean I don’t care about performance on the field.

So lsu isn’t properly identified if they don’t wear the colors you want?
