It’s already Clemson and 26 and I think it’s SMU home and home after that

Paris is the appropriate venue for LSU in Europe. We are just another team in Dublin/London… but we would be THE team in Paris.

Verge would send us to Russia before scheduling a home game to open up

Question is how many lsu fans would go to an international college football game
If it’s an away game ya play it at Aviva stadium lsu fans would probably only be allowed to buy 5k tickets total
If it’s a 1 and done game aka a big time matchup then it should be played at:
Wembley (UK) stadium 86k capacity
Santiago Bernabéu (Spain) stadium 80k capacity
Stade de France 81k capacity
Allianz stadium (Germany) 75k capacity
Estadio Azteca (Mexico City) 87k capacity
Only way lsu will play in Ireland is if a weaker p5 team wants to play their home game at Aviva stadium lsu will never agree to have their home game in a 40k capacity stadium.., even if LSU does play in Ireland they wouldn’t get a game guaranteed , only thing they would get is 5% of the merchandise and have their expenses paid. At the end of the day it’s basically just an away game same as if playing at an opponents campus stadium.
In 2026 North Carolina will get $250k to cover expenses
No details let on how much Wisconsin will get to play in Ireland in 2027 probably between $200k to $250k
Nebraska got paid $250k to play northwestern in Ireland.
LSU usually gets $500k to $700k in away guaranteed for a P5 home and home series. So to me if lsu plays in Ireland would have to be guaranteed atleast $600k to $700k to play in Ireland. Expenses are included in teams payment for playing the game so I doubt lsu will get a game guaranteed for playing in Ireland will most likely me an expense guaranteed to use for expenses.
It’s not like Cincinnati home game vs Nebraska where Cincinnati gets 75% of the ticket revenue and Nebraska gets 25% of the ticket revenue. Only the home team for the Ireland game will get a game guaranteed while also getting expenses.
Pros: it’s a week 0 game so can get a 2nd or 3rd off week that we could use for conference games.
at the same this is a learning experience for players aka experiencing a new culture and a recruiting tactic to attract high profile recruits.
Con: can lose $6 to $8 million in ticket parking and concession revenge also Only LSU fans that would go to game are wealth donors and fans who can afford to go to the game so that would be about 20% to 30% of LSU fans that could afford to go to the Ireland game. There probably won’t be any students or average income fans at the game. Flights alone cost minimum $1.2k per person

Sure let’s give up a possible home game for a stupid out of country game that most fans have no possibility of attending.
Opening week neutral site games are bad enough, we don’t need to leave the country now.

Stanford/Hawaii is about to kick off on CBS if anyone is interested. Not a game I'd watch in October but in August I'll watch the shite out of it.

Now it may not be as big as the stadiums listed, but what about Araneta Coliseum in The Philippines? That's where Mohammed, Mohammed Ali floated like a butterfly -- and stung like a bee in defeating Joe Frazier in the Thrilla In Manila (1975).
I think it's high time the Philippines gets to witness the wonders of LSU Tiger Football.

Hawaya won, 23-20. Doesn't mean anything. Neither of those teams will make even a small bowl
