Guess times are tough. Most people on TD main goal is to let people know they don’t post on TDs. Not sure wearing swag will help that cause.

I think it's a bit unfair to blame either yourself or the apparel consultant.
I think this is more of a brand/logo thing. We all love this site because of it's simplicity and just how consistent it's remained. Sure, there have been updates throughout the years, but that's mostly been just to get with the times. From the perspective of someone who mainly uses the internet for google searches and social media, this site would look a bit outdated.
There is nothing cutting edge about this site, aesthetically speaking. The colors are great, and the font does the job, but people on this site come here for the news and discussion. There have been many times that the Rant breaks a story before even the local media because of it's anonymity. My point is that the last thing I'm concerned with when I log on is how the site looks.
That being said, I don't think that means that the merch is a wash. I just think that if your goal is to sell merchandise, you need to work on the entire site's branding first. And that may turn a lot of the old school users off, but right now I'm not going to buy a shirt that just says tigerdroppings, or has a TD logo, as it currently stands. And this might be surprising, but the only thing I would buy, given how the merchandise looks, is the koozie.
I don't know, I'm no marketing expert, but I think there are more pressing issues than how to make the apparel work. If you put more effort into the brand, I would imagine that merchandise sales would follow suit when you choose to pave that road.
For whatever it's worth, I am a weirdo who loves merch that states what I like. I don't wear them when I go to a specific place for the day (work, school, etc.), but I'm that dude that if I'm not doing shite and need to run a few errands, I will wear some shite with a logo on it. But I wouldn't buy this stuff.
Just honest feedback from one longish-time user.

quote:That's all I agree with and that's enough for me because this site looks great and has been looking great like this since I've been on here when most other college fan forums looked like they were straight out of medieval times. Lol You can add your own themes (sig and avatars) to sweeten up your username, but this site has kept a consistent clean, uniformed look since the beginning and the one thing I do agree with you most about is that it is all about the fan talk on here. Most people come on here for the first time and don't wanna leave, they are from other schools, but they get addicted to this site.

For first time merchandise that's good enough, I'll get my shirt, but just like the site it'll only improve and get much better from there.

Would wearing a TD hat along with my Razorback shirt exempt me from tiger bait chants at Tiger Stadium?

Yes but instead of “tiger bait” all you’ll hear is “hey baw”

You need to partner with Angry Minnow Vintage. Love the old school stuff and LSU has a bunch if you could get the license

What a nefarious, unconscionable thing to say.

Come on man...
If you have ever been to lids and bought sports gear this quality it's not exorbitant.
However, I'm glass casing this one with an alarm system.
