Lyle "Buster" Mouton is an all timer
I was friendly with Harry Berrios back in the day and he was a solid dude and an outstanding player

Nobody ever mentions Ryan Patterson or Brandon Larson.

Sure on Patterson, but a lot of people mention Larson and for good reason.

Damn, no Joey Belle or did I miss it?

I'm also partial to the pitchers since I pitched growing up so I would say Mestepey for sure. Of course Coogan and Chris Demouy because I graduated high school with them.

I wish we could have another character like Dreadlocks of Doom again. That was so great.

Mike Koerner, Jeremy Whitten, Brad Cresse, and Doug Thompson. Koerner might be the most underrated LSU player ever. I probably spelled his name wrong also

If I would have mentioned Sirotka running shite for two seasons or my all-time favorite, Hymel crushing homers in the CWS, I doubt people would remember.
loved watching those pitchers then. Ogea, Byrd, Sirotka, those were as good as any three we've had at one time to add in a senior in Larosa was big. Then there was Greene on the back end.

One of the best defensive outfielders we've had here IMO. Seemed like every week he was making a spectacular catch.

Watson in centerfield and at the plate reminds me a lot of Sprowl.

As to OP question, I always thought Schimpf was a great team player for the Tigers.

Can't remember the opponent, but Blake Gill made the best cutoff throw I have ever seen from the right fielder to home to save a run.
