No they’re rehearsed platitudes you read here and just repeat. Saban inherited 15 NFL players, if you count practice squad or short career guys which I do. Kelly inherited alot more plus some 1st rounders, Saban inherited none of those.

That's BS. Saban said that the fans turn to "Chicken Little Syndrome" in that the sky is falling down every time they lose. He would get frustrated with reporters asking the same question days after a loss or injury. "It's time to move on" was a quote he used a lot.

and in his third year came a hail mary away from winning the west again with a backup QB. then in his 4th year won the west, SEC and a natty.

saban shoulda won west 3 straight years. that first miracle on markham screwed him.

Kelly inherited much better talent, the established recruiting advantages and support that all comes from what Saban built. The situation was much worse in 1999, the very fact that we were able to attract and pay for a coach of Kelly’s stature proves it was. No way he’d have taken this job with the situation in 1999.

right. saban took over a losing program (as did kelly) but saban is the one who changed everything here and how we operate and got money spent on upgrading facilities, etc. shite was already setup for kelly.

I think fans get mixed up with talent vs good players. Saban developed some outstanding college players with that first group. Rohan wasn’t a starter until his 5th year, James and Faulk were late round draft picks, Toefield was a 3rd/4th NFL back who didn’t play, Clark wasn’t a prospect until Saban. Great coach develops good players into great college players who at least had NFL careers. Now we have all these 4-5* kids who don’t look as good as those guys because they’re being coached by a clown but it isn’t for lack of ability and these guys are still being drafted higher. The coach is the difference.

Saban was turning around a program. Kelly took over a program that arguably had the best team in CFB history 3 years prior.

Also, you guys gotta take Kelly's bowl games out of this. These bowl games don't mean a damn thing vs the ones we went to in BCS era.

You added a bunch of nobody’s who never did anything in college to that list but the fact remains he inherited 15 guys who at least made an NFL practice squad, zero first rounders and that’s it. You also listed guys he recruited and didn’t inherit so again you’re wrong, you don’t have a fact on your side so you continue your dishonesty.

Dude, look at the list again. I took our the nobodies. If you're a knowledgeable LSU fan, you should be able to recognize nearly every name of that list.

Nope. Every person on that list was on the 1999 roster.

You should probably just stop. Just get up and stop posting for the day.

Yea man a guy with 5 career touches and 7 starts is elite, you’ve got guys on that list who didn’t even play. You’re not only stupid, you’re dishonest. Now do Kelly, it isn’t even close but I’m sure you’ll lie about that too.

Wendell York was a deep snapper dumbass. Thomas Dunson was a bum, Shaun Wynn didn’t record a stat and there are plenty others. “Loaded with talent” lmfao

Wendell York was the starting deep snapper for three years. One roster spot for an important job.

Dunson was ill-used by Tepper. He could not do all of the things that Tepper wanted him to do. He was not a bum.

You still have not completed your task.

He inherited low numbers, but plenty of talent. Kelly won with O's players minus Jayden.

Already answered, even though you continue to move the goal post, use double standards and ignore reality the facts are still the same. If Saban inherited “a ton of talent” Kelly inherited an unstoppable juggernaut by any factual comparison.

Jamal hill didn’t record a stat
Shaun Wynn did not record a stat, these are defenders btw. Terry Phillips only played on the FG team. You’re labeling these guys as “loaded talent” but anybody with eyes can see you just copy pasted the roster and says “muh talent” and anybody who watches LSU knows the half the guys you listed barely played if at all. . You don’t know what you’re talking about, you’re wrong and you’ve been an emotional wreck since that’s been pointed out. Nothing you’ve said since then has been close to true.
