“We can run the ball. Did you see the last play of the game? That’s all you need.”

One of the strangest things I’ve ever heard a coach say and we all made it through the Les years.

LSU averaged 2.4 yard per carry before one run at the end when Florida was selling out. That’s after not being able to run the ball at Clemson or against mighty Louisiana Tech.

Idiotic statement and if he honestly thinks that way he should be fired immediately.

We can’t run. He knows it, we all know it. It was another weird outburst from him

Yeah I don’t like making judgements on outliers.

That last big run was an outlier. Just like Berry’s big run vs Tech.

Hell, take away Durham’s first run of the game vs Clemson when he broke a tackle in the backfield, we only averaged about 2.5 yards a rush then too.

That was the nail in the coffin for me. I was already done after he started acting like a child when asked an obvious question about the offense. He knows it's a problem but has no answers. Then to suggest that garbage time run was an example of an effective run game? He's gotta go.

Look at how Florida lined up and sold out. There won’t be a lot of opportunities with the upcoming schedule to “need” that run there if BK thinks that’s all you need.

Yeah, exactly.

3rd & 1 and we need to get 1 yard to end the game while they’re stacking the box. They couldn’t stop us.

Rarely does anyone look at a RB stats and say 15 carries, 93 yds, 6.2 ypc and say “oh but he did most of it in one carry…” or the team stat of 4.6 ypc.

Those are not bad numbers by themselves. Our problem is we cant convert 3rd downs. If it is 3rd and 2 we run up the gut and get stuffed. If it is 3rd and 7 we thrown a short pass at LOS and if gets stuffed… Our play calling is so predictable in these situations it is so pathetic. You can add the Durham zone read up the middle on FD with a QB that wont pull it to that predictable list.

His point was that when LSU needed to run the ball to win the game they were able to.

It’s easier to say that when it happens on your last run of the game and you hadn’t been able to run the ball for 21 carries in 59 minutes.

Y’all are all miserable fricks. LSU is 3-0, has the undeniable best defense in the country, very good special teams, and everyone just wants to bitch at the offense.

Where were y’all 2 years ago when we’d win shootouts with JD5 and no defense and terrible special teams? Everyone was happy then, until the losses piled up.

Defenses win championships, and they can carry the team until the offensive line get comfortable playing with each other. Be happy.

What he apparently doesn't understand is the we need to be able to run the ball 'during' the game to win. That play did not 'win' the game. Idiotic rant by someone who apparently has no answers .

Kelly overreacted. Big-time. The running game hasn't been good. The numbers don't lie. If it doesn't get better (a long with our offense in general), we'll waste this great D. It will be the reverse of 2023. BK knows it.

We’re 3-0 & #3 and we have fans saying the head coach need to go, but I’m the problem.

I guess every fan base has its fair share of dumbasses. Even Ohio State fans wanted Ryan day fired in December of last year

If any of you wondered with tRant was like during the Les Miles years, ^these kinds of posts were pretty common right before we inevitably started losing games because of said offense.
