Go play in traffic. We have a lot of potential with these young guys, and Aaron Dotson coming in will be an immediate impact. We still have bo and taz. I look to see lots of improvement throughout the season considering we will be so young.

I wouldn't say we are screwed but losing 5 seniors and probably only bringing in 2, maybe 3 players means NIT at best IMO.

next year is a legit rebuilding year...trent inherited a pretty old team this year and brady had a gap in his recruiting, especially big men (yes i know we'd have j'mison, but that alone may not be enough)

let's see how johnson finishes this class and how we recruit next year. we could be back by 09/10

If Taz comes back I think we will have a shot at the ncaa tourney, assumming others step up, if no Taz it could be a long season

What does the projected lineup for next year look like with Taz. I dont know much about the guys that were redshirted, it looks like our biggest problem will be center, how far off is this

G Spencer
G Dotson
F Mitchell
F Graham/Warren?
C Harris/Green?

I really don't see why that was necessary.

I am not a debbie downer, but people need to realize how bad we're going to be unless some really major things happen.

First, people are expecting too much from Aaron Dotson. He's a good player, but not a great player especially coming straight from high school. Also, his outside game is average at best right now so we have no perimeter shooters.

Second, Delwan Graham has to improve immensely, especially on his outside shot. We could move Taz back to SF, but we know nothing about Harris and what we've seen of Green last year he was terrible.

Third, you can't just say "Bo and Taz will be back." Taz should be a 20 point player next year, and if he isn't then we're really screwed. But last time I checked Bo spencer isn't half the player Thornton is. I'm sure he'll improve but anyone who says Spencer is even as close to Thornton is really dumb.

Key to next year are two players...Delwan Graham and Storm Warren. I think Storm has a lot of potential, especially if he develops a 15-foot jump shot. Also, Delwan has LOADS of talent and even if he can't shoot, if he can be the GT type player to lock down the opposing team's best player we'll be alright.

Because of the stupid wat the thread was started. A statement was made, then a question asked about it/s validity. Idiots like this are what keep me coming back. We have Trent. Don't look back. We were going to be in this situation regardless.

I agree we will be significantly worse talent and especially experience wise. But I think to say we are screwed is a bit far. Next year will be a rebuilding year, but who is to say we can't win the west or even the SEC? Or even make the tournament? I'm not going to go so far as say we are a successful tourney team, but I think we will be better than most think, especially with the coaching and direction of TJ.

How is this a Brady gap? As you noted Brady had signed top 25 player J'mison Morgan, Dennis Harris, Storm Warren and top 100 Garret Green the year before. Trent Has now had a year to recruit if there is in fact a gap in big men. Hopefully there is a JUCO prospect in the mold of Jaime Lloreda available or perhaps a foreign center, perhaps an Australian like Oglivy or Nevill.

For those who would raise the issue tht Trent has only been here for a year, at the same time in 1998 Brady ahd signed Stromile Swift and Jabari Smith.

So please eliminate Brady from the equation.
This is Trent Johnson's program. There is no NCAA investigation of teh program underway. The program is not hampered with draconian sanctions. The sky is the limit for Trent Johnson and the LSU basketball program. You no longer have the luxury of having Brady to kick around any more.

that kid Ludwig is a pretty good allaround player, I saw him, fundamentally sound. good passer, good shot from the outside and everything, maybe he'll grow a couple of more inches during the summer, get 6'10" or 6'11".

I'm told that Dotson's injury is slow healing and that could be a problem. I live in Washington and will try to get more info but that's what I hear.
