No question about it. The baseball gods are turning their cheek at us following that run we made with good fortune in Omaha.
1 run on 8 hits through the 5th. Tennessee 3 runs on 2 hits after Luke had a no no going into the 7th.

We are making ourselves "unlucky." Hell, the very 1st inning White makes 2 base running mistakes that end up costing us at least 1 run, likely more considering Braswell got a double to start the 2nd. That's supposed to be our leader. That's 3 of your hits with 0 runs right there, and it's not bad luck.
In fact the 2nd inning we actually had good luck. Braswell gets a nice hit but then they walk Kling and make an error on Milam's 2 strike bunt. They basically gave us that run because of course our next 3 hitters k, k, ground out with 2 RISP. And it's Milazzo, Jones, and White, again your "leaders."
Also there's almost no way we will ever be a 4 seed in a regional. If we make one we are at least a 3 due to our schedule

And I’m totally fine with it. It was worth it. Same as football in 2019. We were lucky enough to have 2 magical seasons within a 4 year period with some all time great Tigers. We can all just acknowledge we’re a terrible team right now and hopefully Jay fixes it. We can’t expect him to win every year. He’s allowed to have a bad season but the pressure is on him big time to take a big step forward next season.
