er ESPN, he is currently the worst QB in the SEC

He's last in yards per attempt. That doesn't make him the worst QB.

He's 5th in completion percentage, 10th in yards (not good), 6th in passing TDs, 1st in interceptions (only 1 other QB with more than 100 attempts has thrown 0), 8th in QB rating. And that's just passing stats.

He's 9th overall in rushing yards (top QB), and added another 3 touchdowns.

He hasn't been phenomenal, but he's not the worst. Solidly middle of the pack right now.

I understand!
If Orgeron can do it in three, how long should it take a "good head coach"?

play to win every game.

This is brilliant advice! Someone call Coach Kelly and the team and pass this along! I am positive they never thought of this… ever.

for real it’s got to be one of the dumbest or strangest takes I think I’ve read on here.

What the hell is he trying to say when he says we are playing for a 9-3 record and not playing to win every game?
Wtf?!

The gameplan we put together for every single game is done with the intention to win the game, genius!

C’mon, man. You can’t even compare what O inherited to what BK inherited.

Orgeron took over a program that was 17-8 in the previous 2 seasons. Kelly took over a program that was 11-12.

Well, for two years in a row O took a big shite on his team and cared more about chasing and banging beaver. It’s a work in progress whether you like it or not.

Get a night light for your fears.

Because of his YPA numbers?

That very well may be Daniels but here at LSU we play for championships, not for a 9 and 3 record

LSU has only had 1 coach who ever played for more than one national championship and 2 who played in two or more SEC championship games. No coach has made more than one CFP.

Saban 2 SECCG won both, 1 NCG won
Miles 3 SECCG won 2, 2 NCG won 1

Brian Kelly has played in 1 NCG and participated in 3 CFPs and qualified his team for a 4th before leaving for LSU prior to the first CFP game. So I am hopeful, perhaps irrationally so, that we may begin to be an annual fixture in the CFP.

This is very true.

Kelly came to a hollowed-out program. I am sure he understood this. His conclusion regarding the QBs was that none was ready to play in the SEC despite the fact that Brennan had played some. For some reason(s) he thought that JD5 was a substantial upgrade. Either he was way wrong or the QB room was complete garbage.

This offense has been completely incompetent in both the pass and run games. I have reasonable doubts that much will get better unless the QB play improves a lot. It has given little indication that that will happen. We will learn more beginning Saturday at 11 am CDT. Here's hoping for the best a Tiger win even if it is unorthodox.

Wayne, nothing he has done this year suggests that he can be a competitive QB in this conference. What else is there to say?

Where would you place him overall in the SEC pantheon of QBs? Let us know!

Daniels is holding this team together and helping us win games while our O line grows up and gets better. This is a rebuilding year. It is Daniels job to make sure we get to a bowl game this year.

We are 4-1 and 2-0 in the SEC. A lot of folks were predicting that we would finish last in the SEC West. BK and the staff have done a hell of a job of taking a team that is held together by duct tape and heart to a 4-1 record.

It already has for us. Wingo and the DBs have been clutch. It’s just so up to chance that a player of quality in a position of need will be there.

We won’t see LSU’s true potential under Kelly under year 3ish.

If the chalk holds I'm not sure. If Howard develops and our line can gel, this team, with the recruits coming in, could be a 10 win team next year
