For sure disappointing.
But I was wrong. I thought we’d come out less than motivated for Georgia, given Kim’s minimizing of the SECT. And hey, her stated goal was to win one game in the tournament. But yeah, you win that one and you want the next. And it is disturbing to blow a 17 point lead.
But nothing wrong with avoiding an essentially meaningless game with SC and possible injuries in a physical contest.
A two seed in this case is as good a path to the Final Four as a one seed, which we may not have gotten anyway. So not a bad thing to get back on the plane for home and prepare for the Dance.
With the atmosphere in the PMAC, this team has to be a heavy favorite to reach the Sweet Sixteen. Advancing further is challenging but doable.

they'd only give us a 3 if we actually lost to a terrible team. Tennessee is not a bad loss at all

Tennessee had the same amount. The ONLY category Tennessee beat LSU in was free throw shooting and they made 12 more than LSU even attempted. A 25-9 free throw disparity is complete bullshite. And them having 3 fouls to give at the end was another huge advantage given by the refs on top of the horse shite charge call that should have been free throws with a chance for LSU to take the lead late.

It’s just insane to me, regardless of their OOC record, that a team from the SEC would go 28-2 and not be a top 2 seed in the tourney.

Haha...even the announcers were saying they didn't see much of anything and the defender was moving into Reese.

If that is going to be called a foul on Reese you have to call the 16 other times each half a shooter under the goal does that. The offensive player does that every time they go up with a defender under the goal.

Yeah, they were saying that until they showed the replay with Reese’s arm in the defender’s face and an obvious push.

You're a little slow. If the Tennessee player was moving into Reese and making contact with her as the announcers pointed out, that's a foul. And that was what happened first. Reese had to do something to get her off of her.

That moving pick all the way across the floor right after that was way more of a foul on Reese and they did not call it. Morris disappears the entire third quarter and Reese played too far out and got very few defensive rebounds when needed. LSU’s offense is too stagnant and they just stand around watching the ball handler. Hopefully they regroup and make it to the elite eight.

It's not too much of a tin foil theory. We know for sure that the 1 line was off limits already because they're holding our schedule against us. Now that Fudd is back for UCONN I could totally see them assuming they'll be good again and bumping them up. If Va Tech wins the ACC tourney it wouldn't surprise me at all if they bumped LSU down to a 3.

At this point who cares, 1,2,3 seed. They will host first and second rounds. If they can't get past the 2nd round on their home court with Morris/Flaujae/Reese, there's a problem somewhere. People looking for a final four run are unrealistic about what this team has. They are way ahead of schedule in year 2 but they aren't final four quality yet.
They need to get to a sweet 16. Everything else is gravy if they get beyond that.

Sad that in an earlier post. If lsu finishes 30-3 with a sweet 16 it will have been an incredible season.
