Because they play fundamentals basketball. The way the sport was actually intended to be played. It’s intended to be more like hockey and soccer. Only certain positions are considered “scoring positions”(not that other position can’t score it’s just not their main focus).

I promise you that with all of us in our primes neither Simone Augustus nor Sylvia Fowles could beat me in one on one or outplay me in 5 on 5.

Sylvia Fowles is 6'6" and would have beaten you 1 on 1 in college. Bad example to choose.

thousand years ago when I was attending LSU, Joyce Walker played in several pickup games with us. Based on that, I promise you, anyone in the current WBB starting lineup would embarrass you in a game of one on one.

Agree 100% went to tech when Venus lacey played and barmore coached not long after CKM and in the pickup games in gym where intramural where played most here would get embarrassed by the women on those techster teams easily

a 6'6" woman would beat a 6'4" man (assuming he has good skills) in 1-on-1?

Surely you can't be serious.

She has elite skills and is bigger (prolly weighs more too). And by his own admission, he didn’t have good skills. Enough to play pickup at the UREC. He ain’t beating Sylvia Fowles 1 on 1 bro

Care to prove this position? Thanks.

I’ll look for something later. But just for starters, embiid and Giannis started playing basketball at 15 and 13, respectively. They are 2 of the best 5 in the nba.

This simply can’t happen in soccer. To be great you have to start very young and build skills and technique through training.

The European clubs have development academies starting players out at 6, where your life is soccer and you train and develop professional skills as you grow

It really isn’t an agument

Why bring men into a discussion of women's basketball? That a skilled male would beat a highly skilled female in basketball is neither news nor relevant here.

I have always watched LSUWBB though not closely during recent pre-CKM years. When Kim was announced as LSUHC, I bought season tickets and am really enjoying watching them play.

WBB is definitely an amazing sport. If it wasn’t, we wouldn’t have traded a Russian arms dealer for a WNBA star, instead of a USMC Veteran.

People are not really "sports fans" if the agree with you. You are really missing it on this one.
