I can confirm they do this at every home game. I am a season ticket holder. Usually the other team does stay on the court during the anthem, but LSU is never out there. I don't like that but it is true.

When I saw that they weren’t out there for the anthem I fell to the ground sobbing. Realizing I was now kneeling for the anthem instead of standing I became even more upset and vomited

I am a big stand for the anthem guy but that being said if they aren't out there for the Anthem no big deal. If you are then you stand. Pretty simple. Most teams are in the locker room. Another big nothing burger. And I'm 62 BTW.

And for every home game they play the anthem at 10:00 minutes before the game..it is pretty set schedule and if you attend homes games… when the clock hit 10:00…you hear… “please stand if you are able and remove your hat”… neither team is out there.. visitors usually go back to locker room first but not a rule..

Correct - Not only do the Tigers not come out for the anthem football pregame, neither does the opposing team. Band plays anthem & alma mater, lines up outside our tunnel for the team to run out. Sometimes the other team is waiting for us to come out first to avoid getting the full Tiger bait treatment.
I've not always been sober at games, but I'm pretty sure I'm remembering this right!

With every game being on TV, these things are scripted down to the second. LSU always comes out first prior to the coin toss and the visiting team comes out a minute later as the coin toss is happening. I'm sure there was a time sheet last night so both teams knew when to warm up, when to clear the court, etc.

It's also full of videos of every single SEC team being in the locker room for the anthem as thier band plays it and then goes make a tunnel for them to run through following the anthem. When everyone does it, it's not a big deal.
It does seem odd that they did the anthem with 12 minutes left. Normally the anthem is started when the clock runs out, b/c immediately following it is the starting lineups and then the game starts.
Are they normally on the court during their home games, b/c if so, then this is really not a big deal at all and is more just a wierd pregame timing issue.

I don't know what the whole story is. But I do know that this was a frick up and we're getting dragged because of it.
It's best to just try to move on and let's get to the next thing to talk about. LSU isn't going to magically "look good" with this situation.
