You're the only one in here saying negative stuff about Coach O at the moment. You're saying that he rehired a bad assistant coach.

Actually, he's stupidly trying to pretend that Alleva retained him I think. Can't have Orgeron have responsibility...

But as others have pointed out, this is why this assclown is not an alter. He's obviously just some OSU fan who rode Burrow's jock down here and has no clue of the history of our program. The guy had NO IDEA that Moffitt was an original Saban hire form back in 2000. None. But then why would he? his entire relationship with our program extends from the time Burrow accepted our offer to come here until this moment.

My biggest hope is that he's not actually related to Joe in some way. Most fans here really like the kid. Imagine finding out back in 2001 when fans were really rallying around Rohan Davey this he'd had a family member on the biggest message board at the time artificially trying to make his accomplishments even bigger? Bashing certain aspects of the staff? As much as I love Ro, it would have tarnished his memory here.

Unfortunately, this tourist refuses to see that's what he's doing here.

I tried asking which of the quality assistants Alleva was responsible for hiring, but got no response of course.

Buckeye honestly ought to be on everyone ignore list at this point. Why ask him anything?

Either he DOES have connections, which would mean that he likely IS related to Burrow in some way...which would be troubling in so many ways, or he's the OSU equivalent of a Jarrett Lee fan following him to a new destination had he decided to bail on LSU because he couldn't start here and knows absolutely NOTHING about the new program and yet still feels the need to lecture life long fans of the program.

As we've all seen in this thread, even when shown to be 100% incorrect, he'll just double down. You'd be better served arguing with a fricking stop sign.

I did not think he would be drafted.

Crawl back into the woodwork. Ed Orgeron will expose you soon.

And you'll be gone next season. Why do you care? How bored are you?

Moffitt may be great at strength training for a ground and pound offense, but LSU is trying to move to an elite passing offense. MUCH different training regimen is required.

So true...remember the heady days of the Rohan Davey led ground and pound offense in 2001?

Thankfully Tommy Moffitt was here to help with that ground and pound...

Must be a crazy transition for them!!

Proven? bullshite. The receivers DO NOT have 24/7 instant access to a jugs area. They have to make an appointment - hours in advance.

According to you a guy from Ohio who somehow found a reliable source in the LSU football department who is willing to talk shite about the coaches.

Honestly idk how this is Moffits call.

O , or any coach, could obviously say open up the jug machines 24/7

He seriously said that if Orgeron told him to do it that Moffitt could just say no.

I, fortunately, have not read every stupid thing Buckeye Deauxh! has said on TD, so this thread is entertaining.

He honestly thinks Moffit is effectively the HC of the off-season? I guarantee you everything Moffit does is in conjunction/coordination with the rest of the staff, especially O.

This Moffit/jugs stuff is all angled by him towards saying Burrow is having to deal with subpar WRs. Already making excuses for why Burrow won't be drafted higher than Haskins. (My bet offer still stands, B.Deauxh!)

Orgeron said this is this case in a radio interview yesterday. BUT, if Coach O hears of something like access to machines, he would definitely have the authority to change it.

Moffit is the only hands-on coach in the off-season because voluntary workouts can't have the coaching staff directly involved, except for safety (S&C) reasons. Not anywhere remotely the same as "HC" of the off-season.

Orgeron disagrees with you. I believe his quote was "he's just like a head coach down there with his staff."

5 pages of opinions on where Burrow goes in the draft, 20+ pages of arguing about Strength & Conditioning coach....

We've got people here predicting first round and others saying undrafted. Undrafted is more likely than first round, but I think both are unlikely.

Just because you think he SHOULD be a first rounder doesn't mean that it has any bearing on reality.

Welcome to off-season football threads, especially after everything is set into place. There's little to discuss about the actual game on the field right now.

And this still doesn't mean that he can't have a great season and go in the back half of the first round. We'll just have to wait to see how this new offensive dynamic plays out.

Orgeron said exactly that Moffitt acts as the Head Coach right now. This is as much an adjustment to accommodate strict NCAA rules as anything else.

Urban Meyer called Mickey Marotti the offseason Head Coach countless times. That's the way it is at nearly all college programs.

BUT... Why not take a vote of the Circle Jerks on the issue? You can create your own reality (as usual)... LOL

That’s what they all say.

But I am Sure Oregon and Moffit y’all.

And every HC and S&C coach.
