We finished 5-5, .500, last year if 7-5’s our REALISTIC floor then that’s great and buys O one more year, bottomline: we can’t repeat last year’s outcome just can’t, need a foundation

You’re saying Os pattern just needs to be to suck badly one year. Suck less the next and buy himself more time. Brilliant.

Not at all what I'm saying but if you think we're just gonna rise up with all the new talent we have and finish 12-0 then you have another thing coming, reality's going to kick you in the arse, our FLOOR is 7-5 which isn't bad for a floor and is digestible considering the depths from which we may produce this season, I think 8-4 or 9-3's more realistic, I'd be ecstatic if we produce another 12-0 season but may be a year away from it. Just being pragmatic about things, hoss.

this LSU team seems to green to make the playoff.

Green!? We have a senior laden offensive line, a QB who has been here about 17 years, an extremely veteran group of RBs, and a WR top three that is Jr, jr, So (all returning starters).

On defense we have a very veteran defensive line, two returning starters at corner, one returning starter at safety, and two returning starters at LB.

Practically the whole team is returning veterans.

We're coming off a .500 season

And that year we were coming off 15-0. So are you suggesting that from one year to the next a team can get a lot worse but not a lot better?

I'm suggesting that we can't finish worse than what we did and that our performance last season didn't exactly set the bar high for what we should expect this season considering the inexperience of the starters, we're not exactly the Alabama of college football so the sooner you comprehend that, the sooner you can apply reality to the situation

Undefeated heading into SECCG. We’re going back to the CFP.

10-2 but I'm not sure who all we lose to.

One of the keys to a great season is a veteran, experienced QB. We have that.

Bama and Florida have had LOTS of turnover while we've brought everyone back. They'll both have new QBs.

A&M will have a new QB and Auburn has a new coaching staff and a mass exodus / poor recruiting recently.

I need to see 10 wins minimum including the bowl to be ok after the abortion that was 2020.

I'll say 9-3. 8-4 more likely than 10-2 IMO.

LSU went 5-5 last year playing an all sec schedule as one of the most depleted teams in the SEC. A repeat of that would be 4-4 & the 3 rent a wins would get you to 7-5 losing to UCLA. LSU with a full roster and the coaching improvements on both sides of the ball will be much better than last year. This team could easily beat UCLA and go 6-2 in the SEC. That gets you to 10-2. I think Alabama will be coin flip game. You might have 2 other coin flip games in Auburn and Ole Miss. Win 2 of the coin flip games and you're in the SECCG.

Sadly 10-2 is the ceiling.
