Zachariah Branch is unbelievable with the ball. A lot like Reggie bush. He’s the real deal.

I watch them to root against them but will say this kid is fantastic. Catches your eye anytime he touches it. Hes a hold your breath talent with the ball. We better learn to be where we are supposed to be and tackle or he'll gash us.

Branch is absolutely ridiculous with the ball in his hands.

Better have a plan for him.

No they didn't. There was an agreed method for determining national champion then, as there is today. LSU won it. Just because a human poll subsequently said it thought USC (which didn't participate in the NCG) was a better team, doesn't mean they shared the national championship.

LSU will dominate USC. Our OL is the best in the country. Late in the 3rd we pull away. Our defense will be better than average this year with the new coach additions. USC does not have the talent to keep up with LSU's offense and running game. LSU thumps USC. Not losing 3 straight opening games. LSU will be ready and focused.

LSU 41
USC 23

FUSC I have been waiting 20 years for this game! They (split a nc with us in 2003 ) I haven’t forgotten

You might be the only guy that actually thinks that's a split NC.

Also, this post made me go watch highlights of USC's spring game.

Dude, every single one of those picks was not great defense - it was from a horribly thrown pass. They seem to have some real issues at the QB position - no clue if our secondary will be able to capitalize on it though.

Weird that you had the exact same score prediction for the LSU/FSU game last year

Your post pumped me up! I’m in!

Not losing 3 straight opening games

Just pointing out….we’ve lost 4 straight opening games going into this one (MissSt, UCLA, FSU, FSU). If we lose to USC (which you’ve convinced me and I agree that we won’t), it would be 5 straight opening losses.

Are you saying their defense was being dominated or being dominant?

A seemingly common grammatical error

You whiffed on this one, domingue.
The quoted post is grammatically, syntactically and logically correct. I agree that people too often use "dominate" as an adjective, when it is only a verb, and "dominant" is the correct adjective. However, the quoted post was inquiring whether the defense was dominated (by the opposition offense), a passive voice verb, or was it itself dominant.
But keep trying. Good to see folks trying to get their native language down.

I probably wasn’t clear, I was referring to a sentence in the OP, not the guy question the OPs intent in the sentence below.

quote:

4 INTs on the day (Moss 2, Maiava 1, and Jensen 1 were more bad reads/tips than defense being dominate.

Lincoln Riley has always scored points. The issue is that he has NEVER EVER EVER EVER fielded a physical football team. If you can just be more physical you can cause disruption.

That's exactly what Tulane did to beat them. Ran the ball right down their throat, and hit big passing plays when they had to commit to stopping the run. Having Nagle on staff is great for LSU in game planning.

Which is the weakness and will be the downfall.
