I think it goes without saying that this was in the top 5 of worst efforts by any LSU sports team ever today.

What do you guys think are some of the other memorable moments when a team showed up and just completely gave zero effort and quit? The sad part is I'm having trouble coming up with anything close to this effort today.

Solid point.

Ok, so we have

1. January 9, 2012
2. SEC Semi-Final Loss to A&M today.

What else?

I think today was also disheartening because this is the culmination of this entire season of pathetic effort and coaching for this team. Even the announcers said it was an embarrassment for the university and was one of the most humiliating defeats they had ever seen.

The NIT loss to Oregon a while back was pretty embarrassing as well, but this one was ugly.

There is NO DOUBT this team QUIT. It all starts at the top with Jones. It is quite evident that this team does not get along with one another. They can sit here and talk the politically correct message all they want.

But the proof is in the pudding. Hell, next season Jones should be given the same ultimatum that was given to the late Sue Gunther, get to the NCAA or get fired.

What has Jones done to get the right to get brought back? This was his year. If he can't produce with the best player since Lebron (supposedly), what's he going to do next year?

bullshite, the defense played light's out that night. As painful as that game was, it was still a 2 possession game in the 4th quarter. We were one quick strike away from making it a tight game, and who knows how Alabama would have reacted afterwards?

This game, on the other hand, went completely to shite after we were up 8-3.

Actually, for about the first 15 minutes I thought the effort was there.

But the lack of a plan, the lack of preparation, the lack of IQ and sense of purpose in play doomed us and once the game got out of hand, as so many times this year, the effort waned.

I think the lack of overall effort by this team has been unprecedented in it's scope in my 44 years of watching hoops. Mabye a couple of football teams I could throw in the same category in my life, but worst ever in hoops.

This is the 1st team I've ever seen that has 3 seven footers or almost seven footers and none can play SEC caliber ball....why does JJones carry 3 projects on the team.....

I remember Kentucky beating us 31-5 in football in 1999. That was pretty embarrassing. That's about all I got.

You can't say this was the worst ever. The defense is part of the Team and they actually played a good game.

This was by far the worst team effort I have seen in years barring the curly Hallman days
