Can’t believe nobody has mentioned Russell’s to Bowe in 05 against bama. Ruined the gumps season.

That Rohan to Reed was amazing.

Looking at Rohan to Royal and Mauk to Green again, I love those block LSU in the endzone, wish we would go back to those.

I would say no but I do remember the first time I watch the game in 1080 P I was amazed but now it’s just normal

I remember that, too. It made me feel really freakin' old when a game from 2000 looks like old timey tv

So much nostalgia for me, seeing the end zones painted the way they were, stadium electric, and not knowing what the future would be 20 years later.

Seems like much simpler times then, perhaps it was.

Jamarcus to Early at Arizona State
Jamarcus to Dwayne Bowe at Bama
Flynn to Byrd vs Auburn
Any Mettenberger throw to Jarvis (but was prob a better catch vs throw)
Joey B to Jefferson at Texas

Obviously Randall to Devery Henderson at Kentucky (BGM) should be included to, but there was a lot of luck involved with that one.

Shockingly, Jennings to Dural against Arkansas was a great, great throw.

LINK

Big assist to Jarvis who ran the flood route and drew the safety's attention.

Here are some other ones from QBs that weren't amazing.

Lee to Mitchell against Auburn on that post for the win.

Lee to Tolliver against Florida in 2010, beautiful fade for the win.

Perrilloux to Doucet to embarrass VA Tech in 2007. He was wide open on the option action but still a great throw.

Good call. Totally forgot about that game.
quote:

Freshman backup quarterback Anthony Jennings leaned into LSU's huddle in the Tigers' end zone and delivered one quick message before calling the first play of a pressure-packed, late-game drive.

"I said, 'Let's go. It's time to go 99 yards,' " Jennings recalled. "There was no doubt in my mind we were going to do that."

Naive? Perhaps. Confident? Certainly -- and how prescient.

Jennings, who'd replaced an injured Zach Mettenberger in the fourth quarter, quickly marched the 15th-ranked Tigers to mid-field, then lofted a 49-yard touchdown pass to Travin Dural with 1:15 left to pull out a 31-27 victory over Arkansas on Friday in a trophy game known as the "battle for the Golden Boot."

I also want people to remember Mettenberger to Jarvis TD against Bama. Jarvis engaged infinite swag to the point where the crowd is delayed in cheering because no one on the East Side could tell he caught it because he just stood in glory over the defeated DB.

I was there. It was awesome. Back when LSU fans didn't take winning for granted.

Mauck to Green was the first thing I thought of. Was there and it was an incredible feeling. One of big reasons we won NC in 2003. Sports Illustrated had great pic of Green in endzone in front of a sea of gold. Got the photo from SI framed it and it still hangs in my gameroom.

Our wideouts are loaded. Teams have to worry about Boutte, Bech, Nabers, Walker and don’t even realize Chris Hilton is fast af. No double teaming this group at all lol.

If the O-Line does it’s job, we’re going to put up some damn points.

3rd & 17 is the answer for me. Texas blitzed, broke down the pocket forcing Burrow to buy time and delivered a perfect pass under pressure to a well defended receiver.

This beats Mauck to Green for me because Green was wide arse open and Mauck just had to do was fling it down the field. He didn't need to be particularly accurate.

Flynn to Byrd, while it had huge implications, was just a straight drop back and throw to the back pylon. Byrd made a nice play on it and the throw was perfect, though.

Russell to Doucet wasn't a catch and gives me PTSD about all the game management blunders of Miles era.

No list of plays to consider complete without this all-time gem - who else but Burrow to Chase to start the scoring in Tuscaloosa 2019.

Don't know I felt like Burrow's throw in the Texas game was amazing too. He was under pressure and still roped it perfectly on a crossing route. Pretty sure Burrow got tagged as soon as he threw that pass.
