I know Joe Burrow will be the answer and deservingly so but Rohan’s touchdown pass to Royal was a thing of beauty. The ball looked like it just floated in the air between three Tennessee defenders to Royal’s bread basket.

Jamarcus Russell to Early Doucet at Arizona State.

Mettenberger has some in that category as well.

Flynn to Byrd not bad either.

But that Rohan throw was a thing of beauty.

Burrow to Jefferson Texas was awesome as well

Recency bias maybe, but Kirklin to Hilton was a thing of beauty.

LOL GTFO.

This is the best pass any LSU QB has ever made.

It was one of my favorites. Also Alan Risher to Eric Martin Vs Florida State 1982. He was flushed out the pocket and through a bomb 50yds + in the air. Martin never broke stride.

The play was right in front of me. The TN safety let Royal get behind him and he was wide open. It was an easy throw right down the middle. It might be interesting to know that that Saban overruled Jimbo and called the pass play to Royal.

The Flynn to Byrd was one of the best executed plays I have ever seen.

Flynn to Byrd especially when you look at the confidence on Flynn's face when he released the absolutely perfectly thrown almost impossible to complete pass.

I'll put his back shoulder to Jefferson vs OU as one of his top throws that year.

Across his body, got clobbered, and threw a dime in the clutch.

This is my vote.

I remember that throw specifically. I said to myself, “this is the kind of thing Florida State would do to us”. But we had finally turned the tables. I knew we were in a new era.

I don’t know how you rank them.

Hodson to Fuller fourth down between defenders
J Russell to Doucet
Jones to Hamilton

I think you have to factor in difficulty of throw and the moment. Burrow's pass to Jefferson vs OU was amazing but they were up 2 td's and it was early second quarter.

So IMO, the contenders:

-Rohan to Royal
-Mauck to Green
-Russel to Doucet (this one pains me because it wasn't a catch but that doesn't take away from the throw)
-3rd and 17 (lame duck pass but the moment and how he had to maneuver the pocket to get the pass off puts it up there)

I was in the South End zone on that one...the ball hung in the air forever.

Is that what TV looked like in 2000? I don't remember games being that fuzzy.
