Those of us who watched him at Murray, mainly because there was a possibility of the Pels drafting Morant, knew this guy was a bust. I said it at the time, I’d have taken Mike White before McMahon.

His conference record at LSU is 16-52.
There is no excuse nor any circumstance that can justify that.
He wasn’t a bad hire on paper. He has been an abject disaster in performance.

Now we got a commitment from an Australian 22 year old guard , and the media is already saying this guy is gonna look great next to dedan Thomas next year . It’s amazing how they don’t seem to think mcmahons job is in doubt

He’s the Ron Zipper replacement. You know, this year’s 22 year old overseas pro…that never plays.
I don’t know if there is another coach, David Patrick, who has gotten more run off of ONE player (Ben Simmons).

Bruh, Will Wade himself admitted he broke NCAA rules.
Please tell us what NCAA violation Wade admitted to while recruiting for LSU and what violations the NCAA PROVED?

He’s been part of two of the worst coaching tenures in LSU Basketball history. It’s time to send this loser packing for good.

The three violations were
- paying extortion money to a former players ex fiancé
- failure to present an attitude of cooperation with the investigation
- failure to promote an atmosphere of compliance

Madking already covered what violations he was found to have done
And here's what he said himself when introduced as NC State's head coach
quote:
During a later interview with The Associated Press, Wade also refused to use today's changed climate in the sport -- with the alleged payments tied to Wade's LSU ouster essentially legal now with college athletes allowed to profit from their fame -- as a pass.
"That to me is a cop-out," Wade told the AP. "When I was doing that, it was illegal. Just because it's legal now doesn't mean it was the right thing to do then. And I think that's the way that some people rationalize some things, but that's not the reality of what it was. It wasn't right to do then and, you know, I paid for it."
"You've still got to have the same confidence, but it's not a cockiness or an arrogance to the sense of you're never going to get caught or nothing's ever going to [happen]," Wade told the AP. "That's where the line is."
It's ok to acknowledge he was a great coach for us and also acknowledge he broke NCAA rules, got caught, and got punished for it. it sucks but it's also reality. He's not trying to deny it anymore, so why are you?

quote:The excuses don't matter. This year had valid excuses with the injuries, but coaching isn't a fair job. You make millions. Time is up.
We're - I am - tired of the excuses. The rope is long gone.
Year 1 was valid excuses in that he couldn't get transfers due to the Letter.
Year 2 was a decent recovery, despite Cook.
Year 3 the lack of NIL support really failed the team.
Year 4 the injury to DTJ exposed the pg depth.
Bottom line, life ain't fair, especially when you are making millions.

My question was Please tell us what NCAA violation Wade admitted to while recruiting for LSU and what violations the NCAA PROVED?
failure to present an attitude of cooperation with the investigation - not a recruiting violation
failure to promote an atmosphere of compliance - not a recruiting violation
- paying extortion money to a former players ex fiancé- this involved a player a job prior to LSU

I may disagree a bit with year "0" / 1. but we both want to win. Not your enemy.

So which is it? Was he a great coach or did he cheat to sign players which allowed him to be successful and victorious over the coaches who were not breaking rules.
If he had not broken the rules you say that he did would he have signed the same level of players and been as successful? If not would you still love him even if his record was poor or would we have gotten dozens of posts every day shitting on him?

Wade himself admits he handled it badly. He also didn't write checks to Javonte from his wife's checking account. It's amazing how much people distrust media reporting, but somehow Pat Forde and Dickie V are spot on.
Javonte Smart was cleared by NCAA and continued to play for LSU. Who cares about facts?

I always deal in facts.

Javonte was the only LSU player actually cited for a potential violation . He has never admitted to receiving impermissible benefits and to this day the NCAA has not proven a single RECRUITING violaton by Wade on behalf of LSU.

Understood but none of thos were recruiting violations on behalf of LSU. One was related to his prior school and the other two were process violations , not recruiting violations.
