Just a glance at the box score says that's so full of crap.

LSU dominated that game in every way with the exception of the first quarter. We made the adjustments on both sides of the ball

Nah. A lot of things fell their way in both of those games that made it appear closer than it really was.

We were out-coached in each game we lost this past season.

Overall, maybe Texas or Auburn. Offensively, Texas really had a great scheme and plan for LSU (remember the dropped TD pass and their second-half offensive performance).

Florida drew up a good offensive scheme as well.

I wouldn’t call it being outcoached. If we don’t make adjustments to deal with what the other team is doing, then you could say we were being outcoached. But when coaches are able to adjust and respond, then they are not being outcoached. They are, in fact, outcoaching the other team.

By the same token, sustaining a lead (even if giving up a bit of your first half margin) in the face of an opponent's adjustments is not necessarily an example of being "outcoached" in part of a game either (as at least one poster is trying to suggest with the Florida and Bama games)

In a lot of cases, it's the proper way to ensure an ultimate victory.

Overall, no.

But Ole Miss had Aranda by the balls.

No.

Coaching involves the following:

Recruiting players
Recruiting & hiring coaches
Developing talent
Offseason prep
Pre game prep
In game adjustments
Develop winning attitude
Closing 4th quarter

Ed did all of this. He gets credit for this perfect season just like he’d take evisceration for losing any game. That’s the way this works.

To be honest...we didn’t really need many head coaching “in-game” decisions for the most part this season...We beat the crap outta most opponents. But I was really impressed with the post season coaching...very good half time adjustments...and some gutsy calls like the QB draw late 1st half against Clemson. Not much to complain about really.

Strong list. I would also add an HC's ability to get his players to run through brick walls for him when needed... and an HC's common sense to let injured players slack off a little when not needed (as long as they are ready to battle when they are needed)

I certainly could be wrong, but I'll always be convinced that O let his big dogs on the D rest up a little in some games.

Aranda got out coached several times. The team as a whole did not, the offensive game plan was solid all year.

Overall an irrelevant ? since LSU won every game but if you said "embarassing" pretty obvious what the answer is. Ole Miss. You had a mediocre team at best put up 615 yards of total offense with THE SAME PLAY! Psst, Aranda, Ole Miss didn't do it in the first half but your "adjustment" was to put 5 in the box against a QB whose ONLY REAL ASSET was having sprinter straight line speed. Not that shifty, passing questionable to be kind, and you want to allow a guy like to get a head of steam and let your back 6 try to tackle him in the open field. That is why EVERY SINGLE ANALYST...every single one, brings up the Ole Miss game after that. That was embarassing! Fortunately, the LSU offense bailed the Tigers out. Not to mention that the Ole Miss coach amazingly went to Corral in the 4th quarter even though his QB Plumley was literally averaging 11 yards per carry. You think Corral is going to average 11 yards per pass?

This is false. Clemson came out the tunnel with the better plan in the first half AND in the second half.

A. Have you been following Clemson's recruiting classes the last few years?; and B. Who recruited the superior talent to LSU?.
