They aren’t that close, and even if they are it’s a month before mike D gets around to saying it. Usually it’s so late that you think something happened but he’s actually just presenting something O said a month ago in a press conference as a super insightful take. Lots of people were saying McMath would be a huge factor in the passing game even before Chase opted out. You could watch his catches from last year and see he just needed targets. Boutte really has nothing to do with it and could break out all on his own.
