He did retain him when the heat was on. Wade was not in a good spot when Woodward was hired.

Woodward has nothing to do with gymnastics success and he didn’t even hire Wade.

If Alleva was still there Wade would be fired by now.

True, but they are both still at LSU so he has kept them happy.

Holy Ghost. Pete was younger and Josh was older than I. I’m sure we know each other. I went to STA as well.

Most likely we do. I was in same grade as Pete. Cheers!

The only guy considered for the job LSU got. Maybe if Woodward had said no he would have been on the next list of candidates but Woodward was always number one.

Was there ever even a list, really? My recollection is Joe Alleva was essentially removed from the position so that Woodward could be brought in and he wouldn't have been removed if Woodward wasn't coming.

But did he go to Catholic? That’s important to certain people in BR you know.

No one I know or care to know, but those people like to tell you about it.

Catholic High is very very cultish, has a very Texas A&M vibe.

Do you say this because they are an all boys school or because they have rich benefactors and their students are very disciplined with the lone exception of a former tiger who shall remain nameless?

I went to Tara but grew up with guys that went to Catholic. All of them turned out to be good men. There’s nothing cultish about Catholic. Hosanna on the other hand is a different story.

I never implied that anyone is a bad person because they went to Catholic. I call it cultish because of the way people talk about the place and the way their grads seem to interact as a group. Its like if you are not in their group you are beneath them. Jesuit and Brother Martin people are the same way.
