MSU, Troy, Alabama x2, Florida '16. That's five.

Orgeron and Alleva set the expectations by talking about competing for championships. The rebuild narrative didn't arise until we fell apart in September.

Expectations that you dumbasses set for him based on the premise of his failures at ole miss.

Uh, we didn't set expectations based on anything he did at Ole Miss. It appears that many of you did, however, which is why 9 wins is apparently such a pleasant surprise for so many of you.

So you're saying I shouldn't be happy with what orgeron did this season?

I've never said any such thing. Enjoy the season all you want. I did, just like i did the past decade that so many of you liken to the Hallman days apparently.

Its you who are saying we can't be happy but also have any reservations about the future of the program despite some troubling signs throughout the O tenure so far.

but he learned from that and righted the ship and salvaged this season

Or got to a point on the schedule where he faced a series of not very good teams that fired their head coaches.

2015 was the most disappointing by far. Getting off to that 7-0 start had me believing we could handle Bama with ease. And FOURNETTE was a LOCK for Da Heisman.

The that game...LF was shackled the whole game and the Tiger defense turned Derrick Henry into a Heisman WINNER!

Then a horrendous 3 game losing streak...getting routed each game.

Then the firing of Miles and unsuccessful ploy for Jimbo...2015 was As.Bad.As.It.Gets.

Why any coach or player would ever come to LSU is beyond me. Our fan base (or pseudo fan base) hates us so much.

I assume you and those like you are really Alabama fans trolling this site to ensure recruits and coaches never want to come to LSU. It is a very effective strategy.

Can we take 2012-2016 and lump them in as one giant long arse season of disappointing football and the shite show of a coach..

The 2012 team was loaded - most of the returning defensive talent (even minus the Badger) plus what should have been a better offense considering that Mettenberger had JUCO experience. The losses @ Florida (14-6) and vs. Bama (21-17) were just brutal. That team also went on to hand Clemson the bowl victory that catapulted them to elite status. A 10-3 team that probably should have at least played Georgia for the conference title.

we have a whole different culture coming into that season.

Yeah, the culture we had coming into this season definitely would have changed things. Maybe we could have even lost to State two years in a row.

No the 2006 team should have won a national championship. They were the best team in the nation by the end of the season.

2016 sucked because there were three big blows. 1st Fournette's injury, 2nd missing the playoffs with one of our most talented teams in a while, and 3rd missing the Sugar Bowl when it fell into our lap b/c of fumbles and Guice running the wrong way

2008 by a mile. Defending Champs get 50 hung on us twice, the pick 6s, And the Troy win was just awful.

And You're lying if you say you thought we were gonna roll GT.

2016 Team was the most disappointing. Everything was setup for that team to at least win the West in a very weak year for the conference.

2006 team crapped the bed against Auburn and Florida but at least that was a time when the SEC was tough. The 2016 SEC was weak and that LSU team had so much talent.

Losing to Florida was the low point

2008 was really brutal. There was no signature win. The non-conf schedule was weak: Troy, Tulane, App State and North Texas. They were all bad that year.

Certainly LSU's best game that year (other than a great bowl performance) was another heartbreaking loss to Bama in OT.

Don’t believe that. The excuses are already starting to mount and we haven’t even played the bowl game yet.

future is bright under orgeron at lsu, because he gets the most out of our players, they will fight their asses off for him.

Of the positives you could have said, this is what you go with? The team absolutely did not play their butts off for him. It was exactly the opposite to start the season. They consistently were underperforming. Duke Riley had to come in and get on the team and call them out for not having the heart of Tigers. This team was on the absolute point of collapse when Gus took his foot off the gas and allowed us back in. If not for a totally weak SEC this season who knows where we’d have ended up. The jury is still out on O.

Pretty much all of the Miles years except 2007 and 2011 and Miles saved his worst game for the NC game in 2011. 2008 was especially bad for me personally. We should have won 3-5 NC with the talent we had.
