Not hard to see after today and the actions taken by Howard that Nuss is better. Even if he was seems to be taking the easier road so do not let door hit on the way out. Also as far as Nuss it is becoming more clear in time that he truly wants to be in the purple and gold and waiting his time. Hell we might see a two QB system which not a fan of but LSU has two very good options as of today.

Yes,I think I’d have preferred Howard over Nuss, but for things to get to where they are now, the staff obviously didn’t see what they were hoping from Howard in his practice opportunities.
I don’t think Jamie was haphazard in letting him make or helping him to form this decision. There has likely been some discussion with the staff prior to this announcement.

WE should have known but Howard and his father knew dam well BK, as expressed in his previous ND teams, loves running QBs.

That’s the state of college football. The coaching staff clearly sees that they have 2 QBs on the roster which means they think very highly of Nussmeier in taking over for Daniels.
No school in the country is going to keep 3 solid QBs on the roster. And to be honest, Howard had 5 stars next to his name. That’s the only reason there’s a meltdown. It is what it is. He may turn out great. But there’s always a chance that he won’t be.
Kid is just looking for playing time. Can’t fault him for that.
Says alot about LSU QB depth and how the coaches feel about it.
