Last year they seemed worried about LSU and now it's a complete 180

Basically they say that they are better at everything and they will destroy LSU. What I've noticed this entire offseason is that FSU fans are extremely, extremely delusional. If somebody isn't grading them the best at everything, they lose their mind. If they aren't picked to win, they lose their mind. There is absolutely zero objectivity.

And for any
Body that even tries to compare them to LSU fans, it's not the same at all. Sure you have your homers, but 99% of their fanbase seems to be extreme homers on this game. Our fans actually give their team props. We acknowledge their good position groups, they do not acknowledge ours. According to them, only our water boys are better, if that.

I enjoyed hearing what the other side had to say. Not familiar with LSU insiders talking like that about an opponent.
LSU guys don't act like homers. They are reasonable. All FSU people are straight delusional.

People think that LSU good at the end of the year and they really weren't. They looked terrible at the end. They were really on good in the middle of the season.

Yeah, because squeaking by and barely beating a vaunted Oklahoma team in the bowl game was super impressive lol.

FSU fans are starting to wear on me. They act like we don't have more talent
I'm a CFB junkie and soaked up every inch of LSU content this offseason. Never went to a FSU video, and they are extremely insufferable. Did you catch that? I NEVER went to a FSU video, and they are extremely insufferable. There are tons of LSU videos that have absolutely nothing to do with FSU fans, and FSU fans will be the first ones to comment, and comment in droves with their delusional thoughts.

I have never interacted with a worse fanbase, and that includes Bama fans. You'd think they never had success before in their entire lives. It is truly pathetic.

I don't want to just win, I want to dominate. Hopefully we don't have to play them ever again.

FSU fans hyping themselves up like this are setting up for a disappointment. Their season will be over before October with losses to LSU and Clemson.

Disagree. Say Verse is better prospect, drafted higher, that’s fine. Perkins has RARE on field speed. Dude can cover the field faster than anyone.

I think they meant it's easier to scheme away from Perkins which makes even less sense.

This. The OL should be night and day from last year. With the continuity of the OL and the quality depth at RB, I expect LSU to run the ball at will.

That first game Dellinger was at center and couldn't get a decent snap back to JD. He even sailed one over his head when LSU was on the FSU 5 costing them a potential TD. Campbell and Jones are 10 times better than they were their first college game.

Verse is a really good player but highest drafted guy on the field? Come on now. The guy came back for a 4th year in college, he wouldnt have come back if he was going to be a 1st rounder or something. He had a good season last year but apparently not enough to make the NFL leap for him, Harold Perkins isnt staying 4 years in college, I can tell you that

If Verse has 1 weakness it's tackling. He graded out at a 38.9 in PFF last year for 12 missed tackles with 23 solo and 9 assists, that's a 27.3% missed tackle rate which is VERY high. This plays well to shifty slippery guys like Jayden who can extend. It's 1 thing to sack immobile QBs who just fall down, Jayden is not that kind of QB.

They do feel super confident about being better on both lines that LSU.

Genuine question, what do they have on the oline? Experience is there but do they have projected nfl types?

Campbell, Jones, and Dellinger will all play in the nfl a long time.

Verse is an animal but I think they overstate his impact. The stats don’t back up the talk.

Them saying "Malik Nabors is a good receiver but Florida State has 2 game changing receivers" is so asanine.

PFF Top draft eligible WRs:
quote:

2. MALIK NABERS, LSU
The 6-foot, 200-pound Nabers is a true playmaker. He recorded 1,017 receiving yards in 2022, and 48.6% of those came after the catch. He’s also made his case as one of the most natural and reliable pass catchers in the class with a 93.5% catchable-pass percentage and a 61.9% contested-catch percentage. He looks smooth as he accelerates and explodes out of his breaks. He’s also not limited to playing in the slot or on the outside; he can do it all.

It’s hard to watch his 2022 tape and not see a future difference-maker at the pro level.

5. JOHNNY WILSON, FLORIDA STATE

FSU has to have the oldest roster in college football, right?

12 RSSR’s and 13 RSJR’s

25 players listed in bold as returning starters.

I think MS State has that distinction. LSU is playing the two most experienced teams in the country the first three weeks of the season.

This sounds so hilarously similar to the Miami fanbase before we played them in 2018

No, not at all...........

These are the type of guys who will immediately change their tune after the game.

Suddenly, we're the 2nd best team in the nation so they can push their narrative that they either:

1. lost to a PHENOMENAL team and it shouldn't hurt them in the standings.

or

2.How a win against us is extremely impressive for their resume.

-LSU can't rotate 3 guys against the FSU O-line all game. Can't imagine that happening and still be going strong in the 3rd quarter.

-LSU guys are solid but not the guys you think of when you think of LSU defensive lineman

I don't understand how anyone can claim they did any research on our team and think we don't have depth on the DL.

Jack: Ovie, Swinson, Womack
DT: Wingo, Guillory, Jefferson, Lee, West
DE: Sai'vion,Shand, Wiggins

Every one of these guys has played good minutes in meaningful major college football except for Womack, West, and Wiggins. Even still, those guys are good enough right now to be trusted to rotate in to give the other guys a breather. We will constantly rotate between 3 and 4 down lineman based on the package, so they will be fresh most of the game. That is the definition of depth.

The needed LSU, without Perkins on the the field, to play the 2nd worst game of the season to win last year. They lost to Wake, a terrible Clemson team, & a mediocre NC state. They scraped by the worst OU team in my memory to win 10 games. These dudes are some of the biggest homers I’ve seen.

This is what I'm trying to figure out. I'd bet good money to say that we are better at OT than they are. I was impressed by their run game between the tackles last year, so I'll give them the guard spots and center. Call OL a wash, but I don't see how they have a better OL. Our main problem with OL early in the season last year was communication and cohesiveness, not talent. I think they are trying to use last year's game as too much of a barometer.
