God forbid LSU fans who weren't planning to attend the original, out of state game, made other plans.... Some of you fricking people scare me....

People also underestimate the number of fans that go to most home games that don't live in the area. My family, for instance, lives in TN. Making a last minute trip isn't always a possibility.

So???

Will you be there?

If not, you're a POS fair weather couchfan. Deal with it.

It used to be that when people made previous arrangements, if another SEC team got flooded, and the game was moved to Tiger Stadium the Wednesday before game day, they would have simply canceled any prior engagements or plans, and not only bought tickets, but ATTENDED the games. F*ck their families, this is LSU. This new fanbase makes me sick.

We used to be the best fans in college football, but haven't been for a long time. I never thought I'd see the day when LSU fans wouldn't jump at the opportunity for an extra home game to support the Tigers. In recent years, we've gained a terrible reputation for traveling poorly to bowl games outside the state of Louisiana. I guess our fan base has become entitled, spoiled, and lazy over the years.

I've never read the Rant until this week. I now see why. Holy frick.

It's pretty fun to mess with the idiots here. Not sure what people expect when the game was moved 3 days before playing. People have obligations.

brag, what bothers me is that you didn't have to be Nostradomus to see that the game would have to be moved....an additional 24 hours notice and a 7 PM kickoff probably would have meant well over 80K showing up!!! SC athletic department is screwing themselves out of a bunch of money!!!

I usually try to stay off this board, but sometimes it lures me in.

It truly is amazing that people out there really do think like that. Scary, funny, sad all at the same time.

butch: They've known since Monday they couldn't do it at their stadium. I think they were doing everything they can to get it in Jacksonville or somewhere else. And I agree that it was obvious to move, but to Baton Rouge was still not exactly set in stone.

The funny part is, the people that are in here stating that "it used to be different, fans were more committed!!!!!!" are completely full of shite.

I've been attending games since the 70's. The truth of the matter is, there was much less seating, and there were still games that weren't filled to capacity. They were sold out, though. Also, I lol, because trust me, dating back to the 70's, people have been leaving early to beat traffic. These people on here acting like it didn't happen then and is just now starting are FOS.

It's funny, people hear something on here, and assume it's fact, then repeat it like they know. Happens all the time. Most people that believe the stadium was packed for every game, and no one left early, probably simply recall the good times, and the good games, and recall it always being packed. When the truth is the stadium held much less people, and for some games, wasn't filled to capacity.

The only REAL change since back then is how tailgating has evolved.

exactly. youre watching the best footballer since Herschell walker out there right on the sideline for $75. Screw LSU fairweather fans or couchfans. I'm not impressed with our fanbase. I was considering shelling out the dough to buy tickets to the florida game but honestly I think i'll stay home and let the fairweather fans go to the florida game

THAT'LL SHOW THEM!!!

Jindal just said that no weddings or birthday parties are to take place this Saturday. There, now no more excuses. Get you tickets for the bid show so we can watch spurrier's face turn red.

After the game, for those that not only went, but then stayed the whole time. The ultimate Superfan.

That would be awesome, but not sure adequate, as it wouldn't give the attention needed for Rant posters to be recognized on here.

I move that we acknowledge anyone that goes tomorrow as "TRant super fans". List their names in a thread.
