What’s baffling is that the young man allowed guns in his room!! You would think that an LSU football player would have more sense.

Cam had an illegal gun in a legal location
Lindsey had legal guns in an illegal location.
Hoping it goes away. Would hate for a kid that for all intents and purposes has not been a bad kid to have his life ruined.

If he gets off it's because his testimony was deemed more credible than the other witness. Not because of lack of text messages. Weighing the credibility of conflicting witness testimony to gain a verdict has been employed for a 1000 years before the advent of text messaging.

Also Cam Robinson’s incident didn’t happen on campus. Big difference. If LSU lets Lindsey return to school after this, parents of LSU students would rightfully be pissed. If a regular student got caught with a couple of AR’s and pistols in their campus dorm, they’d be immediately expelled.

Been a while since I lived in LA but it was 21 for handguns and 18 for rifles/shotguns. That doesn’t include gun shows or private sellers though.

Actually, apparently it might have been a legal location after all....
RS 14:95.2(C) includes exceptions, one of which states that the prohibition on carrying firearms does not apply to: "A student who possesses a firearm in his dormitory room or while going to or from his vehicle or any other person with permission of the administration."
Go figure.....
