He saw NIL coming and started early. The Hypocrisy of the NCAA makes me sick. every school in that tournament is paying players with NIL, and a good many are getting a lot more than Wade’s strong arse offer. How can any school be sanctioned with the chaos created by NIL.

Wade violated every tenet of College recruiting, and it had nothing to do with NIL. Wade was a lazy, lying idiot in leaving a paper trail so glaring a blind man could see it.

NIL is legal. It allows kids to make money from their name image and likeness. The deal isn’t for with the school. It’s with the kid and whoever pays. Schools cannot recruit based on promises for nil deals either.
Paying kids under the table is illegal.
And just because a kid gets money from an nil deal does not mean a coach won’t try to pay them under the table!

Wade was not smart.
He self funded the payments and the school fired him to clearly demonstrate they had no part in any of this, which may be true as he certainly wasn’t provided an anonymous bag man by LSU.
Will Wade is to cheating, what Dave Bliss was to covering up illicit tuition payments on the heels of murder.
