Wade puts job, millions on line if he continues to decline to meet with LSU officials

SIAP - But I found nothing in search and have legal questions
LINK
LSU is digging in on not paying Wade the remaining $10 million
This Part: “unreasonably refusing or repeatedly failing to perform any duties … after written notice to coach of LSU's reasonable expectation.”
The issue will be if it’s “unreasonable” or not for Wade to speak with the Administration?. They claim they don’t want a fight over contractual issues but this entire article is nothing but threats toward Wade to appear and answer question. They also site the 10 Days from notification where Wade must respond or is in breach of contract.
Sooooo is this enough room for cause?

But his contract lists a set of duties and responsibilities, one of which is: “Cooperating fully in any investigation of possible NCAA or SEC violations conducted or authorized by LSU, the SEC, or the NCAA at any time.”
In response to an inquiry from the USA TODAY Network, LSU spokesman Ernie Ballard wrote that Wade’s “contract provisions require him to cooperate under these circumstances and he has not thus far.”
quote:
While school officials are not eager for a contractual showdown with Wade, the school’s general counsel, Thomas Skinner, said via Ballard: “It is not unlawful or illegal for Wade to talk to us at all. He has the right not to incriminate himself in a criminal proceeding (the so-called Fifth Amendment privilege), but he does not have the right not to meet with his employer.”
This basically means the university is following the procedures in Wade’s contract that are required for it to have the option of firing him for cause. The agreement says the school can fire Wade for cause for “unreasonably refusing or repeatedly failing to perform any duties … after written notice to coach of LSU's reasonable expectation.”
Wade also can be fired for cause for “knowingly committing material or repeated significant violations of any provision of this agreement,” provided that those initial violations are not resolved within 10 days of Wade being notified of the violations.

LSU doesn’t want to fire Wade. If they did, they would have already done so

Will Wade is the best coach on campus. Mainieri is washed up and Orgeron is a bumbling idiot

It's he said she said right now

Perhaps it’s not legal now but they are aiming to not pay contract so yeah they want to fire him
According to this contract, otherwise why are they threatening him? Forget about coaching here again, that ships sailed. This is about the contract now.

LSU is basically forcing out the best coach we’ve had since Saban left.

Then he'll sue for the rest of his money and they'll eventually settle. They're waiting on a better argument for when they fire him for cause.

Maybe the FBI is not letting him? As part of a deal or something. Why else wouldn’t he state his innocence?

No, it comes down whether it’s “reasonable” for Wade not to report and fulfill his duties by reporting to Ad, President and BOS’s?

LSU can’t fire Will Wade right now and Wade knows it.

As this is an ongoing legal matter LSU has no further comments.
No wait...
WADE has no further comment.
Wait...
I'm confused.

I agree, but boy, putting this out there to say, “hey in 10 days we can fire you for cause if you don’t answer questions” is showing how strained this situation has already become.

Not if they are looking for a way to not pay him
If they fire him right now, they would owe him millions

I don’t think that’s necessarily true. They don’t want to fire him without cause and pay him 9 million that’s for sure.
The administration maybe realized it had to cut ties with Wade. It sure seems like this was a calculated move to get Wade to violate his contract so he could be fired with cause and not get any payment.
Makes me sick

If he thinks they're going to try to fire him for cause anyway, might as well hang on a few more weeks and collect as many paychecks as he can.

Why does the admin need the meeting now? Why not after the SDNY/Dawkins trial?

I think you’re confused. TOKEN and I have opposing views
