Would be a good lawsuit. LSU AD refuses to honor their contract with Wade for not answering questions, while LSU AD refuses to answer questions re its role in the OLOL children's hospital charity scandal.

Exactly, I think at a minimum Wade has a few more $200k deposits. Once he takes the stand and once it’s over he’s going to have to answer questions then. In the meantime, Wades playing only hand he has left.

I thought Wade was willing to meet, but the admin would not allow him to have his legal counsel with him.

Wade was going meet but BOS’s moves meeting back and included the NCAA to take part. An absolute ambush if there ever was.

I hope the judge recognizes this.

Wade desperately needs Dawkins to plea out to avoid the stand and any other evidence from coming to light. This gives Wade more room to maneuver in questioning with LSU if there is no further evidence against him. Wade wants to get to a place where he can force LSU to settle - take 2-3 million on contract and go.

This is about the contract now.

IMO I think it's always been about the contract. I've always believed the main reason Wade didn't want to speak with LSU or the NCAA had less to, in actuality, do with the subpoena and more to do with him being worried if he told LSU the truth they'd have grounds to fire him. I think the subpoena was just a convenient legal argument his attorneys are advising him to use. This all comes down to dollars and cents for all parties involved because at the end of the day it's all business for everyone. Only the fans really care about the rest.

WW has a potential S16/F4 team. If it's about dollars and cents, he wants to be on the court.
Wouldn't you?

IMO judges need to STOP letting these lawsuits in the system: cause existed the moment Wade refused to meet with them when requested concerning this matter and it violates a provision in his contract, irrefutable, as long as LSU follows the terms relative to for-cause termination, no cause of action exists. Period, point-blank, open-shut, if you want the money, don’t do the crime, simple as that.

Both sides are positioning for a legal battle. It’s over for Will Wade at LSU. That ship has sailed. I hope Will Wade sues LSU for every penny he can get. Then I hope he takes a job at any other SEC school he can and proceeds to beat this school’s arse every damn time they play. I am so pissed off with the clusterfrick of clowns in charge of LSU.

10 million dollars is 10 million dollars, and no big time program is going to want Wade if any of these stories have any merit whatsoever, regardless of whether he led LSU to the final 4 or sweet 16. At the end of the day, Wade still has a family to think about, so him preserving that contract is his #1 priority. And I firmly believe if there was nothing to hide on his end, he wouldn't have any issues saying so in any statement he's made. He had no problem saying he'd never done business with Dawkins previously (and that was after the subpoena had already been announced was being issued) so what exactly is holding him back now from issuing a similar statement? WHy is he now saying he can't talk because of the subpoena? Is it because it got a lot more real now?

As much as everyone wants to hate Joe Alleva right now, it's a valid point that Wade has never said that he hasn't done anything wrong. He can make a vague statement that he hasn't committed any NCAA infractions and preserve his credibility at trial if there's nothing to worry about. I honestly feel there are going to be a lot of disappointed people when the actual truth finally comes out.

Judges should stop allowing the federal government to prosecute crimes? That's the only issue before the court right now.

What’s your take?

LSU says, Wades in breach of contract already by not speaking to them and have started this 10 day clock that’s in the contract according to the article.

If Wade is actually guilty of providing player(s) with improper benefits, this is an idiotic thing to say. If he actually did commit major violations, then he deserves everything coming to him, and LSU fans should be pissed at Wade. No one has any idea of the truth and Wade isn't putting those rumors to bed at the present time, so making a statement like this is complete speculative bull shite.

10m is nothing compared to the value this guy can bring if they find a way to keep him.

Exactly what I’ve always thought to. Even if you brought Wade back there is still too much possibly out there that could come back up. Not to mention recruiting probably gets tougher etc.. Naw this was over the minute that meeting was canceled.
